Social Dean Cain complains Superman Movie is too Woke & Pro-Immigration

To young when hr was adopted to seek asylum. Sane as when people here adopt a baby from a different country.

They don't adopt him, they pass him as his son, they just tell people he is adopted in his town.

Kal-El himself isn't even a citizen, its Clark Kent's alter ego that has citizenship.

I couldn't imagine a less interesting interpretation of Superman than an allegory on modern day immigration to America. It's insane how liberals can and will take the fun out of everything. Also, removing the "...and the American way" from the original comic book line about what Superman stood for is flat out embarrassing.

As opposed to when Superman was fighting Nazis during World War II?

- Superman always stood for the people, not for the flag. The american way was that of migrants searching for new life, coming from war torn contries. The only time Super was a US vassal was on The Dark Knight. He even put the smackdown on american presidents.

Here is the article the TS plagiarized without properly linking it. This particular coverage comes from an Entertainment Weekly article covering an interview Cain did with TMZ.

Former Superman Dean Cain complains about 'woke' Hollywood making character too pro-immigration

I think the healthiest perspective comes from nerd icon Nathan Fillion.
When asked about the pushback to his comments on Monday, Gunn noted he's "not here to judge people." Nathan Fillion, who plays Green Lantern in the new film, advocated that people see the movie for what it is: "Just a movie."

It's funny how hard they're trying to manufacture an anti-woke pushback against this movie when none has existed. The pushback has all stemmed from a recent interview Gunn himself did in The Times where he felt the need to describe Superman as an "immigrant". It's a bit of a stretch if interpreting the origin story literally. He's not an immigrant, he's a supernatural alien being. He didn't even come to earth of his own volition. He was a baby on a spaceship launched by his parents to avoid annihilation. There is a greater basis to analogize him to Moses who was left in a basket in the Nile to spare him from the wrath of a paranoid Pharaoh, and after all, he was created by a Jewish comic artist in 1938 alongside many other versions before this one caught on.

It's a viable analogy, but clearly Gunn is seeking to provoke partisan bickering, it isn't coming from the political right based on any perceived offenses of "wokeness" from the promotional material like the trailer, or leaks about the narrative.

Im not an expert by any means but I have read some on it and here is what I understand.

"Yes, Superman is generally depicted as being adopted by Jonathan and Martha Kent after they find him as an infant in a crashed spaceship. While his origins are on the planet Krypton, his adoptive parents on Earth, the Kents, raise him as their own son, Clark Kent"

Cain is partly of Japanese descent, with the rest of his ancestry being Welsh, Irish and French Canadian.

“There have to be limits, because we cant have everybody in the United States. We can't have everybody, society will fail. So there have to be limits."

@WklySportsMemes what say you? Is superman a dangerous immigrant or can he pick vegetables quicker than all the rest?
Dean Cain kind of always sucked to me from when he called Ron the N word...lmao

I honestly just have the costume because last min a long time ago I was invited to a Halloween party with these 2 smoking hot college chicks. My buddy was trying to nail one on em for the longest. Ran to Walmart clearance section found the Tshirt... Found some like pajama pants and red underwear there too. Im like this is insanely perfect $6 costume. My buddy was like "hell no im not doing that...thats ridiculous." I tried telling him he would be the ridiculous one if he showed up without a costume to a fkn Halloween party. He made fun of me the whole ride there. When we picked up the chicks...One was dressed as slutty Bat girl & was dressed as stutty Robin. Needless to say they made fun of him not dressing up. He got no action that night. I got action that night. The costume fit so good I decided to just make it my yearly Halloween thing.

Truth be told I hate superheroes and comic books. I work with so many dorks & nerds who talk about comics and these lame movies like real life all day long. I honestly think superheroes are for people with weak dads or who may be weak themselves. My Dad was a real life superhero to me & was a legit specimen. So I never got into fake wrestling or comic books or any hero worshipping of dudes acting. Or fantasy stories.

I say hes an illegal immigrant who wont get shipped by ICE to Alligator Alcatraz because he identifies as white bread & might get preferential treatment for being "white" just like the South Africans...SMH 😆 🤣 😂

Superman is an immigrant… Dean pretending like he ain’t Japanese.

When the true story of what the European immigrants had to go through to become U.S. Citizens from Ellis Island, they'd know the current set got an absolute cake walk. If a woman showed up pregnant and didn't have the means to support herself and the child... she got shipped back.

I would love to streamline the process to add more contributing Hispanic brothers and sisters to our mix. I would give them priority as North and Central Americans.

If the movie is too woke... it has a very strong chance of bombing hard. You'd think Hollyweird would learn their damn lesson and give up on their dreams of indoctrination.

I was never one for dressing up, but I used to be able to do a mean Eric cartman and bought a costume of him and went to Ohio university eastern which is one of the biggest Halloween parties of the year. For some reason, the ladies loved it, especially when I did the voice.

And props to you for showing your pic in here. I have many times but most of these pussies would never post a pic of themselves. Hell, I have even posted pics of my smoking wife

This makes sense... how?

- Superman always stood for the people, not for the flag. The american way was that of migrants searching for new life, coming from war torn contries. The only time Super was a US vassal was on The Dark Knight. He even put the smackdown on american presidents.
"The phrase "truth, justice, and the American way" originated in the Adventures of Superman radio show in 1942. It was used to define Superman's mission and became strongly associated with the character, especially during the radio show and the subsequent television series. The phrase was a way to connect Superman's heroic actions with the values of American society during that time."

Superman is plainly an immigrant, specifically a refugee. The bolded part is akin to something like Operation Babylift (the young being put on the last chance out of a collapsing society).

The Moses analogy makes no sense, that tale is closer to older religious myths describing heroes rising from humble origins or unlikely backgrounds.

This took place at Kent State so similar vibes... If any unlovable fugly incel ever wants to bang a 10 for free there is no better play than having a dope Halloween costume for a Halloween party. Easiest night of the year to get laid almost.

Yeah I don't mind poking fun at myself or looking dorky. Im confident & experienced enough to know Im not bad looking at all. I'm also bigger & in way better shape than 100% of the unathletic trolls who try to sexually harass me when they cant hang on topic. Yeah agreed. They are nameless and faceless for a reason. They know what they look like.

How do you even legally adopt an infant with no paper trail? you try that and people will assume its a stolen baby.

But nonetheless in all versions its still fraudulent, an abandoned baby is presumed to be an American citizen unless proven otherwise, since nobody can prove that Clark Kent is Superman, they could have legally adopted him as an abandoned baby, but the caveat is that they do know Kal-El is not an US born citizen.

In other versions they pass him off as their son birth certificate and all, back in the day people just weren't born in hospitals, so birth certificates were given later on when kid was already born, the Kents just registered Clark Kent as his son.

I think the thing with him is that hes been treated like the Apple Pie All American boy his whole life.
Probably was dating all the cheerleaders in & prettiest girls in school his whole life. A legit D1 safety for Princeton. Also played D1 baseball. Think he did sign with a NFL team.
Even changed his name lmaoooooooo. Text book assimilation. Hes been passing his whole life.
