Deadlifts and milkshakes

Between Meow's nudes and the trap threads, nothing surprises me on this site anymore.

Lol, did you just compare/equate my "nudz" to the P&M trap threads?

WC, nice bikini!

And is that the beginning of an actual bootie I see forming there?

Why is that?

Lol, Belph and I were joking about how you get more attention in your log when you post nudz as opposed to a WC in her bikini. I wasn't really trying to compare your pics to the trap thread.

Lol, k. Just wasn't sure if that post was poking fun or actually disapproving of the fact that I posted nudz. :icon_chee

great work WC! Good for you for posting those pics, I don't know if I have the confidence but you look great. Can't wait to see the outcome! Keep it up :)

Ok I went way back and read and now I'm caught up. Bikini comp. Hope you kick ass at it.

Yep, bikini. Thanks! Apparently I'm the only one in the 5'7" and over class so far. Would be kind of lame if I'm just standing up there by myself lol

Haha thanks. dem hip thrusts doing their job! Oh, and all of the food I've been eating.

Continuing with the gifs..

I love how the second gif is titled "awkward wood." Thanks CRZA!

Thanks girl! I don't have any confidence issues in posting my pictures not because I think I'm awesome or anything but because I generally see this as how my physique is changing from my training and diet. I find it interesting, and motivating, rather than anything else.

Notes: The squat singles were hard because I didn't use a belt. I got a little scared on a few reps because it was tough getting out of the hole and I was training alone today. Kinda sad how much I NEED my belt.

Barbell Hip Thrust
135 x 10
135 x 10
135 x 10

Notes: My deadlift form was absolutely terrible today. Back rounding, bar getting out in front of me. I'm going to have to drop the weight significantly. It kills me inside to do while in meet prep, but I cannot continue to do this.

On a positive note, I trained with my Mom today! She squatted 50 x 5 x 5 and deadlifted 85 x 5 x 5. She was SO nervous to pull 85 and yelled 85 pounds?!? when I told her how much weight was on the bar. Then she repped that shit out. So proud of her!

Heheh that is funny. My dad gets excited when he lifts too, because every time I train him he breaks a bench PR. He exclaims, "I've never lifted that much in my life!"
He might be as strong as you one day!

I LOVE reading about your mom's session. That is the best training log stuff I've read today, haha. So wait, you're in meet prep? Wait. Which one? I am behind the times here.

Warm up: BW squats, leg swings

Squat
bar x 10
65 x 5
85 x 5
95 x 5
115 x 5

Notes: Started lifting on my own today but then met a friend and trained her for a few hours. She squatted and deadlifted for the first time and it was so exciting! I see her doing really well in the future if she stays consistent.

I cut my training short to help her out and will go back tonight or tomorrow to finish my volume day.

lol, yeah it's the best! It took a lot of convincing to get her to lift and I am slowly convincing her that it would be a great benefit to her overall health. Unfortunately, she "trains" with another friend of the family and they don't do any barbell stuff but its better than nothing.

I'll keep logging her training when I can! I don't get to go to the gym with her too often because I don't visit often but hopefully she'll relay her progress to me!

And yeah, I'm using the Surovetsky program again (its a 7 week program) that will lead up to my meet in May. I'm doing a full meet May 18th and then bikini the week after.

Notes: I trained my friend again. Taught her how to bench and press today. She did AMAZING! I'm so excited that she's motivated and picking up on everything I tell her. I think she'll out lift me in no time!

My training today SUCKED. However I did meet two powerlifters who helped me today. I needed a spot for almost everything I did today and all of those weights SHOULD have been pretty easy for me. On one set of the squats, I almost fell forward because I came up on my toes. That's NEVER happened to me before. My form was all outta whack. Had to be ghosted on the last rep of each bench set too. My diet has been very off the past few days because I am visiting my parents. I'm still making decent food choices for the most part, but not eating nearly as often as I do at home.

They were cool dudes though and VERY strong. One guy had a 500+ squat and another one was pulling 500+ for reps. I wish this could be a permanent gym for me. It was so nice to have people to train with that were serious and don't talk to you unless its about training.

Oh, and one more thing I wanted to mention, (apparently I'm enjoying rambling today)...I went to pay for a guest pass to show my friend how to do these lifts at her own gym so she could get used to the equipment and be able to use it independently. Except it was at a planet fitness. So I went there to buy a guest pass. $20 fucking dollars! And then we walk around, no squat racks, no bench, etc. I demanded a refund and got it back thankfully and convinced my friend to join a better gym. I'm so glad I didn't have to actually support those shitheads.

hahaha, I love that you got a refund. That's awesome! I would have done the same thing ;-)

Interesting choice in programming.
At the end of each cycle do you see a great improvement on your lifts, like the squat? And are you to simply go singles until you max out on the last two weeks?

I seriously hate Planet Fitness. Out of all the large chain gyms that I hate, that one is the worst.
