I'll see if I can get a mod to do a pole I mean add a poll.

The only rule is you must be objective. by that I mean don't say Marine Secretary because you were a Marine Secretary. were going with the worlds elite Troops only. My pick is the

Special Forces AKA Green Berets.

Green Berets are the most versatile troops in the US SOF inventory. they can do ANY mission a SEAL can do however SEALS cant do all the missions Green Berets are trained, and tasked for.

2.Israeli Mossad all the SOF training normal SOF units get plus they are Tradecraft trained assassins and spies. most have countless hours of Combat Experience in Israeli Infantry Units before they get picked to try out for MOSSAD.

3.MARSOC. USMC special forces much like Green Berets Pick guys that are already NCO's and have years of tactical training under they're belt before they try out. Most are Force Recon or Scout Sniper. Seals on the other hand are guys off the street that get trained. most lack conventional Infantry Skills.

4.SAS I know it may seem Ridiculous To put SAS so far down. I just don't know enough about their training evolutions, their selection process or their missions out side of counter terrorism.

5.DELTA. I would put DELTA ahead of SAS but that would me being biased. since DELTA was Modeled after SAS I cant put them ahead and from what I can gather their mission scope is almost entirely black bag anti terror stuff. not as versatile as Green Berets..

So gentleman (and I use the term loosely) you may chose your SOF units for your top five after a bout 5 pages in I'll see if we have a winner by average. and no fantasy units like Colonial Marines, or Starship Troopers I know you Mayberry....play right.

Any gunship pilot.

But if we are talking about ground forces with pure killing power it's hard to argue against the US Rangers thanks to their numbers, training, budget, and modernization.

I need better guidelines to really answer this question. but i am tired so don't wait up for me

Spetsnaz were by the far the funnest and most likeable contestants on Deadliest Warrior. I vote them

yeah an AH 64 Apache is something out of Robotech but if it gets shot down the pilots are trained for S.E.R.E not to really fight they just too lightly armed. I Know Apache pilots Carry Pistols I think that's a bout it bro.

Delta is the best of the best understand these guys come from ranger and/or special forces back grounds

It's kind of hard to compare What you list to one another tactics are different. you list guys that are direct action and unconventional.

Yeah the thing with Green Berets is that they can do CT,DA,RECCE, train guys in their language in basic Infantry tactics and much much more.

Not saying Delta Cant do that. just saying if say all TEIR 1 JSOC units were predisposed and we needed some HVT dead or Captured you could get an A TEAM to do it. You wouldn't want DELTA digging a well in some east African Village for hearts and minds, SF can do it all. and SF has quite possibly the worlds most dangerous human being in Tim Kennedy. he's about the most all around Complete warrior you can think of. Dude is like a 1980's Hollywood creation only real.

US special forces have better tech and resources, but SAS are tougher and better at killing.

I vote the little guy in the bush who kills these bad asses with little or no training and gear.

My Grandpa was an Alamo Scout. He was a leader and helped mold the Scouts as well. The AS were pretty much the first modern special forces unit in the US and helped shaped all the groups in this thread.

He worked behind Japanese lines gathering intel. He had stories that were simply incredible. Mind fuck stories.

The Gurkhas have to figure PFP on this list somehow.

My Dad worked with Gurkhas a lot in Belize. He basically thinks they're superhuman and shit, although he was never impressed with their potty training
