According to Wiki, the last reboot was 2011 with The New 52 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_New_52), and used it as the launching point for this rebirth edition.

But yeah, not sure why.

This is an effort from DC to bring back old readers and hopefully gain new younger readers as well.

DC is going for the pre flashpoint era universe by bringing back specific characters while incorporating some new and younger heroes elsewhere in their line.

Also there seems to be like a few of every character. Like 3 supermen, 4 flashes, 4 jokers. Etc etc.

And this is their second reboot since their New 52 relaunch few years back. The new52 was basically kept afloat by the most overrated Batman run I've ever run. It was a hipster party for some strange reason

I liked the first couple of Arcs for Batman with the court of Owls after that not so much.

Flash also had a decent start. But overall New 52 was pretty bad and I lost interest.

It's a reboot regardless what anyone says.

You're combining universes and rebooting things like the watchmen universe being part of the DC universe. That's a reboot. Whether johns says it is or isn't.

I've also seen the video you posted.
