DC/Gus was such a good fight goddamn

Rewatching right now because i had forgot how this fight went besides it being competitive and just saw their recent twitter beef. DC definitely edged it but damn Gus took it to him, actually took DC down multiple times and landed a bunch of clean punches along with that vicious knee towards the end.

I know LHW is super shallow at the moment but that belt is Gus’ for the taking the second DC vacates. He easily beats Jones too if he somehow comes back IMO

The Gus DC fight was damn close, could have gone either way. Gus fought a prime DC right to the wall and he did the same thing to Jones, literally the only fighter ever to give a guy that lets face it was juiced to the gills.

Gus's performances against DC and Jones make him a top 3 guy by default.

I'd bet on Gus to win against Rumble again if they fought.

Gus should have done better against DC given the massive physical advantages he had. Look what Jones was able to do to Cormier.

If Gus just tied up Rumble for a round and made him grapple against the fence he’d probably get him to quite sometime in the second.

Rumble seems like he just gives up when he’s tired or he’s decided he’s going to lose the fight. So Gus wouldn’t even have to take him down. Just grind on him and make him work.

Gus beats him 6-7/10 times if he employs the correct strategy. The other times he gets caught with something stupid.
