Stipe was doing well before the eyepokes, I think guys like Blaydes and Alistair are tough fights for DC at HW. Jon has beaten DC multiple times. And the vast majority of the 185 lb fighters that GSP decided not to face would have laid a beating on him.

You're using 1 example of a hypothetical match-up to assume Anderson isn't in the same category as the other but that's just plain stupid.

Anderson was KING of MWs for YEARS. He's beat other LEGENDS in this sport. He didn't just win a title, he defended it over and over and proved to be the best fighter in his weight class and for some, the best ever.

DC has been #2 at LHW since he moved down and he has 1 significant (its a very big win, not downplaying it) win at HW in years (granted he's been at LHW). DC is as skilled as it gets, but the fact is, he really hasn't beaten enough people, he's beat 0 people that are regarded as legends during their peaks (or at least when they were young and still good). Maybe Stipe will be regarded as one, but, again, that is it.

Will DC go down as one of the best? for sure, but he's not in the GOAT category. He's never even been the best fighter of his era, how can he be the best of all time? Doesn't even make sense.

Because Anderson basically pointed out without spilling the beans that they are ALL on something and DC has been more LUCKY(or informed, is it any wonder that him and Romero seem to have the cycle game down pat after a long Olympic level career??? Sheeiiiit, those guys invented microdosing and a whole bunch of other loopholes) in that regard than anything.

DC has NEVER been 1 of my favorites, but he does seem like a standup guy more and more as time goes on. Meaning, if he is wrong he will usually admit it.

Well, except for him crushing Alex for being a cherry picker when DC was doing the EXACT same thing.lmao
