Seems like a good matchup, and frankly after being beat by Kelvin and headkicked by Whittaker, jacare probably doesn't seem all that scary anymore. I'm all for fresh matchups.

Well only 1 fighter separates them in the rankings and Branch is coming off a win while Jacare a loss so it's not crazy but yeah,Branch doesn't have a big name at all.Honestly I thought Jacare looked pretty bad in his last fight and a fight like this makes sense to me but at the same time looking at him performance wise in his last fight he looks like he's going downhill and should get the biggest fights he can as fast as he can to try and get a crack at the title before it's too late.Sadly I think it's too late already but injuries,moves in weight classes (maybe Yoel) etc. he could somehow get a shot.

Maybe i'm underestimating his performance simply because I expect more out of him,after all it was a close ass fight with Gastelum with an insane pace.I don't feel like looking at the roster,who's booked,who's injured,rankings etc. to even say what makes sense for Jacare so I can't make any strong points,I just don't think he deserves some huge fight after that performance and getting smashed by Whittaker.

If Romero stays at MW, Gastelum vs Romero.

Id Gastelum or Weidman win, they get Whittaker next.
