Dave Sholler leaving the UFC

He left a job with the largest MMA promotion in the world to work for the 76ers?

Huge promotion if true.

The deal still stands. If you aren't slow, lets read it again. I want you to point out the part you don't understand:

I'll make you a deal.

If you can provide a source - ANY of the big MMA blogs - that filed a story reporting Dana White owns 7% stock (not revenue share, but stock) of the UFC, I will PayPal you $100.

Lets agree MMAFighting, MMAJunkie, BloodyElbow, ESPN, all acceptable sources. I'll even take Bloomberg.

Free money if you're right, just post it here.

If you can't collect your $100, zip it. You can't post rumors on Sherdog without a source - you know this.

-----------------------

My contention is that Dana White owning 7% company stock in a 4 billion dollar valuation company is news worthy. There would be reports filed if this was substantiated. I'm willing to take a report filed on ANY of the listed MMA sites, and threw in Bloomberg.

You and me both now you cannot take rumors from a subscription radio show - this is not acceptable at face value, I shouldn't have to explain it.

You can't give me a source though, because that report has never been filed.

You are a world class ding-dong.

For anyone else reading - both ESPN and MMAFighting have filed reports stating that Dana does NOT own stock, rather has a 9% revenue share deal. I actually have sources, unlike this moron:

Got it - you are an idiot

Take care

Haha is normal. He was known as the fake Jon Anik at first then Dana Lite if I remember correctly.

Hopefully Jon is next to go... Fox robot

lol now he's gonna be in between big ass basketball stars. Who are all Jon Jones' size if not bigger! This is going to be hilarious! :p

Sholler seems like a well liked dude, shame he won't get his rematch against Jones. He would have a full camp the 2nd round.

You got rolled up like tin foil.

Go hang your head in shame.

Still got $100 for you if you can find a ANY reputable MMA news blog publishing a story to back your rumor. Right now MMAFighting and ESPN have gone on record and it makes your story seem ridiculous.

The look of sheer terror on his face when Jones started pushing forward tossing him aside. He knew immediately, mistakes had been made.

Now we are playing a game called "STUPID OR LIAR" featuring FrankieNYC

Here is what I wrote, verbatim:

I'm still waiting.

Did I mention an ambiguous two word tweet? Read what I wrote....

Shame on your for pretending.

Now I think you're a full blown liar / idiot.

Not to mess with your 'feels' but you probably should have pretended you were 14 when you had the chance, now you're a man in his mid 30's with the business savvy of a 14 year old.

Got it - you are an idiot

Take care

Wow man.....I'll give you props for breaking it down very clearly and I'm sure you were understood but some people will still 'be right' even if they realize they're wrong, I think it's a fragile ego type of thing.

Promise you its not that - I don't have a reputation for being brash and uncouth on here. I'll give you the quick, easily digestible summary:

1) ESPN and MMAFighting have both filed reports that specifically state Dana has a 9% revenue share in the new company - not stock - and this is well reported and publicized.

2) Frankie claims its 7% stock ownership, not a revenue share, despite ESPN and MMAFighting reporting otherwise

3) I insisted a rumor from a subscription radio show isn't a source, and that owning 7% stock in a 4 billion dollar company is newsworthy - if it were substantiated, not a rumor, it would be reported on by all the typical media outlets that cover sports, MMA, and finance.

4) I offered him $100 to find a single news agency (and iterated them off by name, eg., MMAFighting, ESPN, BloodyEblow) that backed up the claim that Dana owned 7% of company stock, not the well reported 9% revenue share.

5) He responded ..... by re-posting the same ambiguous rumor I argued wasn't substantiated in the first place.

Thats it.

Now - if you believe ESPN and MMAFighting both got this story wrong - OK - thats possible.... but is it not fair to assume if that is the only documented, published story, we should go with that until someone else files a report noting sources that states otherwise?

Let's unpack it even further - at face value, does it make sense that Dana owns (secretly, unreported by any news agency that reports on MMA) 7% of a 4 billion dollar company, AND the widely reported 9% revenue share?

That would functionally entitle Dana to SIXTEEN PERCENT of the net profits of the business. That is so out of wack, I can't punch it up in a post. It is cartoon land thinking.

Naive at best, willful ignorance at worst.
