I can't even remember the last time I watched Ep I. Did Anakin race in the pod race because of Qui-Gon? Either way, he never meets him and eventually lives the equivalent of an F-1 racer's life on Tatooine.

What if F1 Anakin was eventually taken out during a race by a sharp shooter sand person..

The original trilogy is all that matters bro and he didnt do anything that bad in that one.

Obi wan wanted to die so he just did his old ass a favor.

He of course go along with blowing up Alderaan even if it wasnt his idea.

I think in ESB and especially ROTJ though I think the view of the force is rather different to the prequels, its less Harry Potter like magic that happens to be used by good or bad people and more something which has a will of its own, that Vader had "fallen to the darkside" not just that he had turned into an evil bastard who used the darkside but that the darkside is using him.

At my friends place earlier today. His 4 year old runs up wearing these vader shoes. I see the kicks and ask him who that is on hes shoes. He start imitating Vaders voice and tells me thats his favourite.

The 80s kid me is loving it. The present me is sick to my stomach.

How did this happen. How did a sadistic, serial killing, child killing, mass murdering, terrorist dictator become someone whos plastered on kids lunchboxes and on their clothing. My God!!!

Would you send your kid to school wearing a hannibal lecter shirt? Of course not. So why Vader? He was way, waaaaaaaaaay more evil and crazy.

I mean, if he went to galactic prison, all the other baddies would want him dead cause he was a child killer. Thats the ultimate evil deed. But what do we do? We dress up like him for halloween and prance around kids like its ok. My God!!!!

This guy killed billions. He killed an entire planet. Nearly wiped all the Jedis. Thousands. Hunted them down like a serial killer. Hes the ultimate dictator and terrorist rolled up into one.

This is also true. Just like the dems and reps, there are clear flaws and looney tunes on both sides.

I believe Mace Windu was the most level headed of them all tbh. He didnt trust Anakin from the start. He questioned palpatines motives and friendship with the child killer and didnt like the jedi relationship with the senate. Right as he was gonna lay the deathblow on palpatine, who else but the whiney mass murderer himself backstabs him. My God!!

So Darth Vader did his job/mission perfect, couldn't have done better, so immensely capable being, extremely high level consciousness being and in the end it was the Force who wanted to do a cleansing and Anakin was its servant to do the mission, so Vader is perfect devotee of the Holy Force and the Force chose him to the job, while we human beings are pathetic and extremely incapable beings, literally pathetic, weak and stupid and dirty heart, so good that if your idol is someone like Krishna, Jesus, Buddha, Narada Muni etc..., if not them, good to have Vader, just avoid having a human being as an idol.
