Rumored Darren TIll released by ufc

Wow this is huge news actually. Definitely thought they would have given him one more fight against a lower level guy like they're doing with Cody. Dricus is the dark horse of the division and will go far imo. No shame losing to him even though Till gave a subpar performance.

Sad end to his UFC run. Seems like even Khamzat has parted ways with him.

He's trash anywhere but on the feet. But I believe he's top 5 WW or MW in terms of kick boxing and standup skill.

A bright future awaits in avenues like celebrity boxing, exhibitions, and BKFC-type.

Not surprised. Dude could have been a really solid fighter if he did just about everything differently.

I think BKFC would be good for him. A brutal sport but I don't think he can hang in boxing

I'm a little surprised if it's true, not because he doesn't deserve it (because he does) but because Dana still seemed optimistic about keeping him around after his last loss.

LOL You're a longtime MMA fan who's surprised that Dana didn't keep his word?

They've got a lot of other UK fighters, whinactually win fights. There's no reason to keep him around.

Stole another cab?

Damn, didn't Dana say he's staying despite his losing streak?
“I mean, that’s Fight of the Night, I don’t think his stock drops at all. If he would have went out there and got destroyed in the first round like it looked like it was gonna happen, but he did the exact opposite. He weathered that storm, stayed out of submissions, then he comes back, and you think he’s gonna win the fight. I thought it was an awesome fight. That’s why it was Fight of the Night, and I don’t think his stock dropped at all. And for Du Plessis, what an incredible win for him. I think that that slam at the end, I think that took the life out of Till. I mean, did you hear that when they hit the ground? That was brutal. I think that’s what ended the fight more than the choke."

Till released a statement after the fight saying that he’d like to take some time off. The 29-year-old did clarify that he had no intentions of retiring but is discouraged with his current losing skid. - 12/10/22.

I actually thought he had a bigger upside, I'm not going to pretend I knew he hit his ceiling from the beginning.

The push he got was a bit much, but he had more right to be on the roster then quite a few others still active

Sources are saying that Dana White has stated, “Darren Till was never my friend…” as he was removed from the roster today.

He just seems so physically and mentally broken in there as soon as the fight starts. His athleticism is gone, and his will to win is gone, he seems resigned to his fate lately.

he was done when he couldn't even sprawl in that last fight, despite having "trained" with kahmzat for how long now. + that DUI during his fight camp didn't help. dude is done.

Getting knocked out is a traumatic experience especially if they aren't completely out and can remember bits and peices. A smart brain will warn you against repeating the incident. No shame in that. He fought and trained with the best of them.

Unfortunate, I always thought Till would’ve turned things around in his UFC career.

Perhaps a promotion like PFL, Bellator or ONE would be a better fit for him at the moment. If he manages to win some fights, we might see him in the UFC in the future.

Best of luck, hopefully his new opportunity will come with a bit more money.

Whittaker certainly talked up Till's ability after their fight, I'm sure he's got plenty left.

now get rid of the rest of the british bums
