Media Dariush on his fight with Oliveira: "The fight will be an absolute domination"

He didn't want to fight that soon, but that's me opening a whole new bag of worms lol. Lets just say that I hated everything about how that fight came together <45>
I was hyped up. Was hoping he would choke Makhachev unconscious and call Khabib out but fkn Makhachev had to ruin everything lol. Also, Abu Dhabi is shady asf.

First of all, dariush has quit against chiesa. I pointed it out. Second of all, I'm focused on people coming through the trenches and winning. Meanwhile you can't stop talking about quiting.

If someone has 10 wins and 10 losses, they still have more wins than the person that is 9-0.

Oliveira has failed more, but he has also come through the trenches successfully more than dariush. Dariush has quit less, but he's come through the trenches a winner less often, too. It's just a fact.

You're the winner. Does that help?

We'll reconvene after they fight <45>

Charles was like, " I fought three championship fights in about a year, I deserve a break, and I'd like to fight in Brazil"

Ufc was like, "nah, no Brazil cards coming up. No break. Fight in abu dhabi before you wanted" ...then a couple weeks after getting charles to sign, they announced a brazil card coming up lol.

They will have Islam fighting october-23 the winner of Dustin vs. Justin, and then october-24 the loser of that match up. We saw that the champ lost to a FW and now they need to protect their yearly oil money Circus with muslim titlefights and not risk him losing again.

Keep seething...surprised you haven't blamed Islam for ducking or being inactive yet.

Buddy, I slightly favor dariush to win. I just didn't understand why you saw dariush as someone who is better in the trenches. Dariush just typically doesn't fight those kinds of fights. If he's smart, he won't do it here either, and I believe he is smart. I have this fight 60 - 40 in favor of dariush, but I will admit that a part of me is cheering for oliveira.

Then they offered Charles Fiziev there lol. Actually, I think they wanted a rematch in Brazil as well. What a joke UFC is <45>

At some point even haters have to give credit where its due but clearly you can't even do that.

Charles wanted to fight in Brazil BUT he wanted Connor...he thought Islam didn't deserve a title shot but Connor did because it would make him rich lol.

He wanted time off, brazil, and Conor. He couldn't get a single one of those requests despite being one of the most exciting champs in ufc history and despite having been active lol. It was a big fuck you from the UFC

Dariush is a hyper Christian lamo.. also talked shit about Weili..

Hope he gets demolished, ktfo and retired..

War Oliveira
When he and Oli fight, the Ocatagon will turn to the shape of a cross and they will both sweat holy water.

In an ideal world correct BUT he was ready to fight Connor anytime, anywhere and any weight. Ultimately missing weight against Justin cost Charles any bargaining power.

Yeah, but Islam isn't Conor lol. In an ideal world you get all three requests, in a less ideal world you get at least one. In the UFC, you get none I guess.

I like Olivera also, but he's a glass canon.

I consider Dariush to be equally skilled, not as dynamic and exciting, but more solid and reliable.

I don't believe it, but I'm really looking forward to a show. I expect no more, no less than two hungry guys really wanting a title shot, one of the best fights of the year. That's the only way they'll get it, because a boring fight certainly won't.

He got wrecked.

Well i can respect that..

I fucking hate blankets going all "i'll fuck you up and ko your ass!"..

If they were to say "i'll totally make 3 other guys think i scored better in a simulated fight over 25 minutes and finish you if a safe opportunity presents itself" i can kind of get behind that..

Hope he gets the title shot.

For all the MMA purists, Islam vs Dariush would be a dream come true.

Two guys who have no significant weaknesses or holes in their game. khabib never fought someone like that ever.

If Islam finishes dariush, he should be ranked ahead of khabib in the LW GOAT rankings.

Agree with everything except jumping ahead of Khabib. Never losing and basically never being seriously threatened (at least as champ) is a pretty big deal. Islam has already been knocked out and had a semi-controversial split decision in his first title defense. To jump Khabib he needs to—at a minimum—match Khabib’s three defenses. The Iaquinta win is hard to consider a real title fight but McGregor, Poirier and Gaethje were all champs or interim champs.

Oliveira is also a hyper christian

Oliveira is devout, nothing wrong with that. Dariush on the other hand is a little weird with his post-fight proselytizing and rants about Marxism.

If Islam finishes dariush, he should be ranked ahead of khabib in the LW GOAT rankings.

Islam's going to have to beat Dariush and win the Volk rematch decisively in order be ahead of Khabib as LW GOAT.

There are actually many. Way back in the day, Olivera quitting was almost a routine (see Holloway and Pettis).

More recently, Felder-Olivera (Olivera basically just gave up and quit, again).

And his last fight, against Islam, he basically gave up the finishing hold and made not a single effort to get out of it. Let the finish happen.

I cut him some slack in the Holloway fight, I can't blame him for thinking he was seriously injured.

The other instances of his crumbling I believe had a lot to do with being gassed. You know what's said about fatigue and cowardice. Plus, he was never being particularly durable at 145.
