I don't think it was the weight cut. I think it was a head kick and multiple punches to the face.

Not really surprising. Benny does great when he's more skilled enough than his opponents that he's able to control the pace.
Look at Benny's past opponents.
Gamrot. Great fighter, but doesn't push too hard. Benny had more skill everywhere.
Tony. Sucks. Was never a good wrestler. Benny more skilled.
Diego. Not great.
Holtzman. Sucks.
Camacho. Sucks.
Dober. Can't grapple.
The one that really gave him trouble was Klosse. Who came at him hard enough that Benny was gassed and sloppy in the first round before he got the KO.
Oli is like Klosse but more tiring. Oli is the sort of fighter that a guy like Benny is always going to struggle with as the fight goes on, even if he is more skilled and winning.

In my opinion, Benny was doing fine in the fight but got a little too cocky when he didn't have his hands up. The first shot that really rocked him came when he was backing up, with both hands lowered, underestimating the speed in which charles olivera can close the distance. I really think benny could have taken this one as I don't think Charles Oliveria could keep fighting at that crazy pace for 5 rounds..

Before the fight I remembered oh yeah, less than two years ago Beneil barely CDF. Shiet
The way I saw it, Charles broke Beneil. He thought, he would be able to do some major damage when he was on the ground with Charles on the bottom, but Charles sprang back up as soon as he was able to scramble. When Charles stood up, Beneil looked defeated and already checked out. It was clear at that time, it was only a matter of time before Charles landed his big bombs.

The way Oliveiras fight occurred with Islam baffles the hell out of me. I mean it seemed Islam cancelled him out everywhere but we haven't seem him do that to everyone. He just had an answer to everything

Yep. Dariush was putting in everything (as he said, he will dominate Charles with his BJJ) and when he could not and Charles sprang back up, Beneil looked stunned and dazed. Charles mentally broke him.

FYI I won money on a parlay with the Vegas Golden Knights and 4 fights including Charles over Beneil. I happen to be neutral as I like both fighters. Seems like you are begging for a reason to gloat but I believe you have invented this image of Rabid Delusional Dariush fans. Charles looked great last night after he was looking not great. Benny was on top and controlling him to some extent until Charles got back up. Charlie caught him standing (iirc) and took over.
Dariush just got DESTROYED in ONE ROUND. ONE ROUND! You dariush fans need some serious therapy

I was neutral on this fight, but people who still think dariush is a contender are high AF. If you think he was winning part of that fight just because he was in Oliveira's guard for a few minutes ('looking not so good'), you are high AF too. Oliveira took ZERO damage and caused damage off his back, he WHOOPED dariush's ass standing, and FINISHED dariush on the ground IN ONE ROUND ...end of story.

Much luv for Benny (whom I picked) but Oli simply outclassed him. I was leery of backing Dariush as I knew Oli has better hands and is just as much of a threat on the ground. Guess I was in the "moment" but really thought Benny would be able to show more.
Still no real disappointment and we quiet a few isms as well. Props to Oli for making that next TS noticible.

Caused damage off his back? Landed a surprising hammer fist isn't Damage IMO. Was there something else Damaging? Again the Hyperbole isn't needed. Charles did great no need to disparage Benny. If Benny is shit then Charles hasn't accomplished anything. Trashing your favorite fighters opponents trashes your favorite fighter.
