Television DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN (Premieres March 4, 2025)

Liked didn’t love that episode.

For whatever reason, they aren’t nailing Dex. He had so much screen presence in season 3 and he’s just not landing in this season.

the director is an idiot. we don't need spastic shaky cam... it adds nothing at all and takes away from the gravity. the entire way he films is shit honestly. I don't need to feel like I have ADHD when I watch a show.

previous daredevil was dark moody smouldering and staggeringly violent.

whoever is directing this should be fired and replaced immediately by the previous director.

I'm still watching but its not half of what it was before.

Someone told me I needed to watch Echo for some backstory, so I did. I also watched Punisher Season 2.

Now, finally to Datedevil: Born Again.

I am thoroughly enjoying it. D’Onofrio is huge, and it does make his character more convincing. But also, this is just a great season so far. I love it.

Ok, there is a real problem if
Matt can identify his girlfriend in a drawing simply by touching it, and having touched her face earlier. It’s a 2D drawing. How the fuck could a blind guy possibly identify her?

By the strokes of the paint brush

That’s a stretch to say the least.

But o did very much enjoy the season. I just finished it. I’m not sure why
Matt would take a bullet for Fisk, I guess because he’s a Catholic?

But whatever. Despite those two things, this is head and shoulders above the Punisher series, which is kind of standard dumb guy shit.

The Punisher series were a letdown because it wasn't standard dumb guy shit.

I wanted more shooty shooty, less moody moody.

The writing suffered from a lack of testosterone.

Hell Pilgrim did more badass shit in S2 than Frank....

<PlusJuan>

Daredevil S2 was the best Punisher season, and I will die on that hill.

Pilgrim was awesome, and I was glad he survived. Loved the fight between him and Frank. At one point, they stop to pick up weapons,

Frank, "You need another minute?"

Pilgrim,
"I was just waiting on you".

From the look on Frank's face, he's clearly thinking, oh, this fucking guy!

Yeah, I don’t think more shooting would have made it better.

Definitely less Billy Russo would’ve helped though.
It wasn’t bad. It just isn’t anywhere near as good as Daredevil.

- Fisk killing Gallo was brutal, but unsurprising. I knew Sheila would sell him out to save her own ass.

- Punisher fight scenes were fucking awesome. It's always fun to watch Frank work. But what the fuck did he cut off the cop in Matt's apartment?!

- Frank saying what the audience was thinking when he asks why the Hell Matt would take a bullet for Fisk, of all people.

- I suspect Bullseye might have to team up with DD to take down Fisk, since the Kingpin is the only person they hate more than each other.

- The ending was pure PISs: Plot Induced Stupidity. First of all, why keep Frank alive in the first place? Second, I actually groaned out loud when the cop fell for the handshake pull. That trick's so old it's not even in the fucking book!

This Disney+ Punisher has the sense of humor calling DD "Night Gown Man."

Clearly he cut his hair and shaved because he knew Karen wouldn't give him sexy time looking like a filthy smelly bum.

The finale had a mid-credits scene.

What felt weird was DD leaving Punisher to possibly get killed and then starting to recruit his "army." Couldn't he smell Punisher being outnumbered?

This season, there were times Disney+ would run the T-Mobile commercial featuring the actor who played Billy in Netflix Punisher.
