Television DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN (Premieres March 4, 2025)

Song from first scene is Future Starts Slow on iTunes.

I have a feeling first two episodes are better than what they originally made before the course correction.

What has me worried is even for mediocre or bad shows, the first few episodes are usually really good and there's a big drop off in quality after.

I'm waiting for reactions to all 9 eps.

Might wait to binge this one. I wish they just dropped all the episodes at once.

It’s on par with the Netflix one for me. Action is good, acting is good and fuck man does D’Onofrio deliver.

Won’t get into any spoilers but there’s been little hints of things they are gonna cover and damn am I on board.

By the end of episode 2 I can start to see where Frank is going to fit into this.

Thank the One Above All that Marvel didn't drop the ball on this one. :)

First episode was like meeting old friends you haven't seen in years. Everyone slips into their old roles without missing a beat. While there are no weak links among the cast, it's Cox and D'Onofrio's show. The chemistry between them is superb; the coffee shop scene reminded me of the Pacino - De Niro face of in Heat.

Not a fan of the CGI, but it's not a deal-breaker either. There wasn't a lot of action/fight scenes, but what we did get was top-tier. And I suspect we'll get a lot more as the story picks up momentum.

Nice that they gave us a Hallway Fight Homage in the very first episode. Not only is Bullseye a psychotic killer - he's a dick.

When the teaser dropped, I joked that Fisk had cut weight for the fight. Matt himself confirms this,

"Your uh, step is lighter. You've lost some weight. Gained muscle".

I can't wait to see the Big Man cut loose.

I rate both episodes 9/10

- No way is Foggy dead.

- The dirty cop who slams Matt into the wall has a Punisher Skull tattoo on his forearm.

- When he's at marriage guidance, Fisk leans forward on the sofa and steeples his finger together between his legs. Exactly as Trump does. Not exactly subtle.

I think I read somewhere that critics said the second half of the season is better than the first

So is the white tiger amulet in this show mystical? Haven't noticed them say at all in the first two episodes

When Matt confronts Hector in prison after learning he's the White Tiger, Hector claims it wasn't relevant to what happened in the subway. Because he didn't have his amulet, or "special powers". This pretty much confirms the amulet gives White Tiger superpowers.

Pretty sure that was sarcasm.

Telling the judge "he didn't have his mystical amulet!" was like comic relief.

I laughed hard at that line in a show that's trying to be serious the rest of the time.

Question for the comic book nerds:

Is the guy in need of a therapist at the book signing Muse?

Bonus question: how pissed is Frank going to be running into dirty cops with punisher ink?

I hope the person in your spoiler goes Sons of Anarchy with the ink…

Nope, when he said it to Matt he was being deadly serious. As for the whole mystical thing: Fisk has already referenced Spider-Man, which means the show is in the MCU, where Doctor Strange and other magic users exist.

- I thought that as well, but it could be a Red Herring.

- About as pissed as Magneto if he saw you giving the Elon Salute. What Matt did to the cops at the end of episode 2 is going to be tender foreplay compared to what happens when Frank gets his hands on them.
