No, you can tell who the objective fans are. Randy started at age 33. While he was a very good fighter with great longevity, it's not even clear when his prime was. He was way too green in his earliest UFC days (late 1990s) to beat Cormier. He went to Japan and his submission defense was exposed (subbed 3 times). He came back to the UFC and did well, but never won more than 3 consecutive fights. Again, compare that to Cormier, who is 17-1, and has beaten some great fighters. His only loss is a decision to the LHW GOAT (who may be the HW champ in a few years). Cormier is both more evolved, more consistent and has a better resume. Only the nostalgists are giving Randy a strong chance of winning.
