There is a huge size difference and I suspect a strength difference to.

Brock is bigger then Josh, stronger and a better wrestler then him (yea Josh is better at catch with all the subs) but then again I think DC would have the advantage in wrestling skill but the size/power would also factor in and maybe make things competitive.

I agree that Brock would get a TD but Cormier would pop back up IMO, and he KO'd big foots big ass head. Why not Brock?

Well he fucked up his hands big time in doing that and I think Brock has a better chin then Big Foot... he took heavy hits from Carwin that I think hits harder then DC.

The size of that head, those neck muscles.. that dude can take a beating problem is he react to it like he didn't know he will be hit inside there.. incredible bad reactions (for a pro fighter on the highest levels.. clear lack of experience) but he can take it.
 
I forgot to mention that Brock was not in any type of "real" (WWE is not real) competitive combat sports since 2000 before he had his first MMA fight in 2007! I say again, come on! This guy is great!

There is a 0% chance Lesnar gets Cormier down for a prolonged period of time. DC boxes his ass up, clinches him and uppercuts him into living death.

Lesnar would lose badly. The first uppercut that Daniel lands will have Lesnar backpedaling.
 
In terms of wrestling overall I think DC is the more skilled on compared to Brock and even compared to Jones but there is a strange dynamic going on.

For example I think Brock would have a much easier time in taking down Jones then DC would have in taking Jones down...

DC goes for this clinch takedowns, trips, high crotch, single leg, chain wrestling keeping you off balance and in a constant attack and this was easier for Jon to handle with his bigger body/frame, excellent balance, leverage, his own wrestling skills, better cardio and better speed/reflexes.

Brock goes for a more straight forward classic folk style approach by shooting a double leg with good speed for a man of his size and just sheer power/size using that mass in his favor.. and he doesn't even have the best timing and he still pulls them off when he commits to them (yea he had some sorry half ass tries vs Carwin/Ubereem but I think he was a bit shook in the confidence department after the surgery and in facing big strong man that are killers in the striking).. and guess what I think this would work better vs Jon and this are the same type of takedowns that Rashad was doing vs Jon in practice and succeeding (even keeping him down if we all remember the build up to Jones vs Rashad but hey a fight is different then training and Rashad didn't or couldn't pull the trigger like in practice).

DC's chain wrestling is a thing of beauty and hands down his the most skilled wrestler from the big man.. Jones got his takedowns and "won the wrestling" based on cardio, damage done to the mid section and that early takedown that came was from a trip and Jones beying the longer man managed to snag the leg away.. in terms of wrestling DC is better then Jones to me.. problem is cardio goes to Jon, striking range, kicks, subs, overall MMA mixing it up its all Jones.

But really, I was just about to start a thread.

It's a weird matchup. DC is unquestionably the better fighter in my mind... better wrestler, better striking, at this point he's faced more adversity... I kinda wonder if he lost a bit of his explosive takedowns with the knee injury.
Brock on the other hand is huge, knows how to wrestle, and has proven hard to get from underneath if he gets the takedown.
Could DC fry his circuits with some face punches. Would DC be able to use those uppercuts or could it backfire to try to fight inside on such a big guy who you might not wanna go upperbody with?

I wanna say DC, but there's a part of me that at least wonders how it would play out.
The strict testing these days might make it less competitive though.
 
Cains bigger and in his prime was a much better fighter than DC is (verified by AKA and DC himself). What Cain did to Brock is no indication of what would happen in this match up.
 
As much as I dislike DC, at least he can deal with taking a punch. Sure, Brock has the massive size advantage to steamroll through Cormier, but what happens if Cormier gets up, or stays out of Brock's range long enough to punch him a few times? My guess is Brock mentally checks out and Cormier TKOs him.

Picture Fedor vs Goodridge then replace fedor with DC and Goodridge with Brock. Something like that.
 
Lol at anyone who says Brock. And an even bigger lol at people who use Jones as some kind of example why.

DC beats Brock. Why? Their wrestling negates. Cormier has never been held down for any length of time. He's a great scrambler and chain wrestler. Even if Brock lands takedowns, it's hard seeing him doing much to DC, with DC eventually standing up.

On the feet, DC brutalizes him. He's a natural in fighter and has gotten inside on far better out fighters.

And lastly, he's simply a better MMA fighter. He'll mix it up better, he'll link it better. He doesn't need to "ragdoll" Lesnar. He just needs to out-slick him in the wrestling department. And given that he would likely beat Brock up on the feet, this creates openings to land takedowns.

I think Cormier by late stoppage or 5 round UD is the likley call here, unless he manages to make Brock panic early.
 
DC via being better at literally everything.
