I've always said i, I truly believe DC would've beaten anyone, including Jones, at HW. Yeah i get it he got KO'd by Stipe and Jones, but that was when he was 40+. In his prime he was damn near unstoppable. He drained himself to make LHW. even some of the guys that trained with him said he lost almost half his strength when he dropped down that much weight, and he still beat everyone at LHW except for Jones.

Cormier is completely right. DC is 46 and yet he's focusing on him instead of Aspinall lol? Jon needs to man up and just fight Aspinall. Otherwise he should be stripped. Period.

Yes that was an ugly click but DC was an unstoppable force at heavyweight. He won the strike force HW GP with ease. The UFCs heavyweight division was weaker than LHW. Imo DC was best early in his career and when he came into the UFC. I think he would of had similar success at heavyweight but probably wouldn't of lost until he got old and past his prime.

Werdum is the only guy that stands out as being a tough stylistic fight for him.

His punches were stronger at HW, but my timing got better and my kicks can transfer the power better at HW, so I'd say I'd defeat him easier" ... That's not a call out lmao. He answered a question like Tom did in random hypothetical match ups. Then DC got all bitter as if JJ was calling him out now for a fight, instead of (which was what JJ did) give his opinion on how a match would have gone between himself now and the DC who won gold in HW. DC also recently called Pereira a liar for saying he was hacked all because Pereira didn't want to take a short notice fight vs someone he considers a high level opponent and vs whom he fought injured... But DC didn't even care for the fact Islam didn't take the IFW fight vs Illia and focused on "Pereira is a liar, he didn't get hacked!!" and went on a sequence of circunstancial evidence to ""prove"" Pereira lied about being hacked... DC seems to be getting bitter at JJ more and more and at Alex Pereira too... Wtf lol

Now, I wanted DC to win but being this grudgy is just not healthy.

DC knew the writing was on the wall.

Once he'd gone up to heavyweight he was never going back to LHW. And with his back issues that sealed it.

So he just took a few money fights to close our his career. He got $4million to save the card fighting Lewis on a couple weeks notice, the money was too big to turn down and he figured he could handle Lewis even injured.
