He had a good five years in him if it weren't for whatever injury he had. Too bad the fans will be stuck with Roman Reigns from now on. What a boring-ass wrestler that guy is.
I hope he is not on camera in any other kind of role. If he opens a wrestling school, it's probably a licence to print money.
Too bad for the guy. He's a great worker, good on the mic, and was one of the most over guys on the roster was years. Hope he stays in the business in some context(that's safe).
Maybe I'm just ignorant, but anytime I've ever heard DB on the mic I didn't think he was any better than someone like Dean Malenko. Can someone point me to a DB promo that might change my mind?
It's a shame injury took down his career so early. Would love to see him open up a school to train the next generation.
He would make for a great trainer in the performance center, that way he can retire happily and still make money in WWE.
Hoping for some Mark Henry retirement speech swerve action. If he's actually retiring due to injury it's a friggen shame. He was arguably the best wrestler in the world.. and inarguably the most over wrestler WWE has had in a decade or more.
If the tweet was a lil more cryptic maybe but so straight forward like that? who knows, feels pretty legit.
he just had a connection with the crowd. i cant explain it. i mean in theory u r right. if u saw him without a crowd give a promo u'd be like who's this midget loser hipster thinking he can be a wwe star. but he has that "it" factor. cant explain why but when someone like him has it thats will carry u through. its like the opposite of the hogan effect, great on mic, okay in ring but charisma (or whatever u wanna call it) pull him through. with bryan its great in ring okay on mic but charisma pulls him through
No matter how you feel about his booking, or his short reign as champ one thing is for sure, Bryan is entrenched in WWE history forever. The way he was booked at Mania 30 and the way it ended with thousands chanting YES and all the confetti surrounding him, Bryan will have that moment forever and no one can take it away. Great career, I am hoping it is a swerve and while it is way out there, would be amazing to see Take come down the ring and challenge him. Highly doubtful though.
I didn't mean the Dean Malenko mic comparison as an insult either. I am also a big fan of Malenko. In theory DB would be the kind of wrestler right up my alley. Guess I just wasn't at the right place at the right time to catch him enough before Mania last year.
was never a fan but i will miss the energy and reaction he got - everyone else gets cap gun pop's compared to DB. At the end, DB can say hes a 5'6 guy that won the wwe title and ended up with a wife as equally as attractive as Cena's Not too shabby.
It really does.. unfortunately. It was just some wishful thinking on my part. Regardless, I'll actually be watching RAW live tonight to see which it is.
