A little creepy. I'm usually not the type to get too hung up on age differences but 26 years when the girl is 19 is pushing it. If there was a 26 year difference but she was 30 and he was 56 I would think it a lot less creepy. Even 25/51 is alright with me.

Exactly. I'm 26 and just graduated from school. The difference in maturity between myself and the 19 year olds from my classes was big. I couldn't imagine having a 30 minute conversation with them, let alone dating one. Weird to me.

Even extremely mature 19 year olds are 1 year old adults, still on a probationary adult status (alcohol, rental cars, etc...) The differences are so major, it doesn't make sense, unless:

• The older adult is highly advanced, enlightened, etc... and properly can't related to anyone in this world, regardless age, so why not 19?

• The younger adult meets above criteria.

• (Likely the most common scenario) Both people's lives revolve around the same thing, like partying - or are obsessed with a shared craft or art, like singing, writing, etc... and that dominates the majority of their time, in which case, the older could actually be learning from the younger.

But most men will marry women 10 to 15 years younger than them, I see it all the time its also common back in the old days, the 10 to 15 year age gap.

My uncle was 50 when he first married, he married a former beauty queenin her late 20s and they are still married today he is 72 and still youthful, and they had 5 kids.

He wasn't even rich they just ran a small family food business, he sold it recently and is retired.

Yeah, but a 15 year old back then is not even close to a 15 year old now. Women were actually preparing to be housewives at young ages.

With unequal pay, women in the workforce stigmas, stigmas about being a single woman, etc... parents prepared the women for marriage the same way someone would be prepared for the workforce.


It's a different time. Now, the average age of accountability is post college age.

Most people look at this as a knock on current young people, but it's not. People were expected to behave and operate in a certain manner by a certain age, and that's what society had. The age of accountability has been pushed up several years, and voila, people act accordingly.


I think its better to start your adult life post college age. Like it or not, once someone finds a rhythm in life, they stick with it. You have a better chance of picking a good overall setup at age 24 vs age 15-18.

I think she's some manner of musician, and not a pop star, so it might be she's got passion and training about something beyond herself. That's usually the key to young people being interesting, in my experience

Ya some 'older' women, particularly with young kids can be needy and hunting and I don't blame anyone who does not want to be a surrogate dad. That is a fair choice.

I'm at an age (49) and as I like to call it 'born again single' (divorced with grown kids) and loving dating again. I've dated gals my age and up to 10 years younger as per my current gal. And i won't date anyone seriously with children who are not independent yet. I like to travel and do stuff that kids just limit. Been there done that, and now looking for something else.

And I've dates and sex with with two girls in their later 20's last year who did everything to initiate it with me even when i was standoffish. I can tell you that the younger girls simply do zero for me. Can't talk to them. Most don't appreciate a good meal or a good bottle of wine or even a nice beer. Certainly can't hang out with their friends. And honestly sex with them is, in my experience far more boring than with a chick who knows what she is doing and what she wants. My experience is that young hot girls have that 'you get to fuck me' attitude to them which sees them just lie on their back and expect you to be thrilled to take them. An older woman will often take you and she knows what she likes and is usually not afraid of anything you like.

I actually had a 19 year old waitress at the one lounge bar I frequent suggest we go out sometime jsut before xmas. I was like hell no. LIke wtf, no. I was born 30 years before she was even born.

Young people are typically very idealistic and have not yet learned compromise. And if there is any age to be that way it is when you are very young.

However I certainly do not want to date that. A person who still believes in the fairy tale perfect life, fairy tale perfect man and fairy tale perfect relationship and rails against it creating so much drama over time as reality sets in that life is not a fairy tale and compromise is needed.

It is a huge transition people need to go through before they settle down and have more realistic ambitions and learn to chill and not sweat the small stuff as much and to enjoy the moment.

I guess, as a guy if you are a drama junkie, which I get can lead to passion in the bedroom, then ya, have a relationship with a young girl but I want no part of that.
