Dana's excuse for not letting GSP fight for the title at 155 shows he hates GSP

GSP finished Bisping inside of 3. Anderson.....lost a decision to him.

Keep staying salty.

Also, I'll go find all you posts where you said:

Every fighter is on steroids.

You're a tool.
Anderson, Fedor, Jones > GSP

You mean cherry picking one eyed soon to be retired Ping while gassing and running from MW when the true top MWs came knocking?

42 year old Anderson also beat top 7 ranked KO machine Brunson.

The results wouldn’t change.
Yes the same almost retired Bisping who beat Anderoid. Sure he was struggling from the adrenaline dump, he was amped up; it's to be expected after 4 years and fighting for a belt.

Woohoo "beating" Brunson, that was a crap decision but it's not like it mattered, so who cares.

Didn't GSP say beating Conor does nothing for him except get him a day paycheck? That fighting Conor is a lose/lose situation for him. If he wins he's suppose to win and if he loses we'll he was suppose to win. Outside of a complete domination GSP looks bad.

In GSP's last two fights he has vacated two belts leaving each division in a situation where the next champ would not have won the belt by beating the reigning champ.

Why would Dana give him a shot to derail another division?

I don't like Dana but it isn't hard to understand why he wouldn't want to give GSP another title shot, especially in a new division he hasn't fought in, as that didn't work out all that well last time even with GSP on a written contract saying he had to defend.

Then it was pretty stupid to let Cormier fight. He’ll retire two more belts.

That will be:
HW, LHW - Cormier (Jones)
MW, WW - GSP
LW, FW - McGregor

Good thing Cruz came back. Otherwise, MM could have finished the last division, when he retires.
Kinda crazy!
But that kinda made sense, DC got mistreated very poorly with Jones due to the saga of Jones, the numerous fights against Jones being canceled due to doping etc. DC had essentially beat all the top contenders so a fight against Stipe kinda made sense. Since there wasn't a clear cut fighter in the HW division at the time who 100% deserved a title fight

For YEARS Dana said GSP was the easiest fighter to work with.

They's say who was next, he'd sign the papers, and they were off to the races.

That was then and this now.

When he was active, no doubt he was a company man. But now, its hard to get anything towards a commitment out of him.

who cares about conor when khabib is champ DUH.
Any fighter in their right mind would rather face Conor than Khabib. They’d make way more money and there’s a much lower chance of Conor pulling out of the fight due to injury or other unfortunate circumstance.

Why is Dana talking about giving Conor a shot at LW after he was stripped of two belts?

Seriously?

He's a company man for a decade, but now, theoretically having earned a bit of good will, you consider him a pain in the ass?

And just how hard is it to get a commitment out of him?

It's a business. Pick the fight, ink the contract, sign, and done. Dana also said that GSP was the PPV king for years, and had walking away money years ago. Shouldn't a guy like that spend a bit of time making smart choices and being selective about fights, especially after so many years of defending against every single guy they wanted to put in front of him?

The complaints about GSP are getting more and more ridiculous over time.

I'd bet anything that GSP felt he was being short changed but wouldn't speak about it because when fighters go on about money, they're singled out as being greedy.

Ortiz was saying it for years how he's risking serious injury fighting and not getting a fair share of the profits - maybe because a lot of fans didn't tale to his personality, whereas if GSP spoke up about it - which he sort of is in a way, by mentioning how much money he and the UFC could make together, that union thingy they put together which seems to have disappeared as 3 out of the 5 fighters in that union got what they wanted before it gained any momentum. While you can't blame them for having to do it, it shows how invested in it they were now it's not a thing anymore.

As much as Dana says something is going to happen - which never does - he has his moments when the complete opposite does actually happen. Lest we forget the whole GSP doesn't want to fight again nonsense. I think it's Dana's way of being indifferent if a fighter comes back or not, while he probably is hoping that they do. He's a promoter, so he's going to lie, naturally.

GSP has his own thing about calling out fighters in lighter weight classes, and I think it's obvious from Zahabi's mouth, that they're looking to get a fight with Conor but will only do so if Conor calls him out. Probably not now as viewership of the UFC has gone a bit flat, but I think it at least at one time would have broken the PPV record and would definitely break the all time gate.
