I was watching the last press conference and one of the first questions a reporter asked Dana is if this will be for the 155 belt. He gave the shadiest answer. Did anybody else see this?

It wasn't shady. He just spoke to the idea of caring more about the reality of fights than the game of titles, rankings, and records. The websites wouldn't list Al as champ, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't be champ.

The NYSAC were being cunts. Without underwear he would have made weight. It’s not like they can do anything if the UFC gives him the belt.

I saw some statement that said they had worked it out.

But I think it’s pretty obvious it would be better for the UFC if Khabib won.

I'm guessing if Al wins, they'll say he's UFC champion and put the belt on him. They'll then try to work with the commission to make it official. They apparently had the underwear tested and it weighed .2 lbs.

It's a tricky situation. By the book, Al isn't elligible but at the same time, he wasn't expecting to be fighting in the main event and for the title. If he was, you'd bet he would have stripped and taken off the undies to hit 155.

I normally hate when UFC tries doing shady crap but I think this is a legit case and Al should be fighting for a title and rightfully declared the champion if he wins.
