The problem with this is that Wonderboy spent an entire training camp preparing for one guy. One specific guy. Watching video, sparring, etc. And at the very last second, when no further training can be done, the guy misses weight and the UFC tries to force him to fight someone else.
Wonderboy didn't miss weight. He didn't get injured. He did his job. He did it on time.
And now he's not getting paid - even though he has to pay coaches, training partners, etc.
But somehow you think that's the right thing and he shouldn't get paid?
Right. Okay.
But they offered him a fight two weeks out which is a 30% of a fight camp.
WB has expressed a strong desire to still be a contender for the title. You need to be prepared to fight everyone if you think you are champ material. It just seems to be wrong to get 250K when refusing all options. There have been plenty of other fighters which still fought a guy who came in over.
Either you are a fighter or you are not.
