Definitely something to be said for all of that!

While I’m past that part of my life, I could definitely see it as inspiration for a young burger flipper in the middle of no-opportunities-ville to keep moving forward and create their own opportunities.

All that said, there’s definitely something weird about attaching one’s personality to the performance of an athlete/corporation/etc…

I don’t think people necessarily want to sympathize with Dana. Some people do understand that managing a company for the long haul does requiere certain fiscal responsibility. But also, it’s clear Francis was asking for more than just money. I’m sure Francis is happy with his decision and the UFC will move on as they always do.

Growth takes pain, wisdom takes time, learning requires some honest decision-making. Thankful for what we've seen and learned in life. I bump my head and stumble my toe enough as is. I'd hate to also be so willfully resistant to growth and learning. Life has enough friction without me adding massively to it. Appreciate you, you jumping, long-limbed, high af beast.
