I'm also pretty confused about this whole situation. A lot of "undeserved" title shots were due to unforeseen circumstances or someone with a huge name, both of which I don't think really apply to Colby. I mean Colby is probably more popular than Belal but is he really THAT much more popular? I suppose the UFC is maybe hoping Colby + Masvidal win so they can rematch? Idk, it's all really strange.

Colby has star potential if he's champ when the election stuff starts. And he's just a lot more marketable than Belal.

The UFC doesn’t want him to be a champion because he is Palestinian.
Belal should just throw that out. Put pressure on these people who discriminate.

I don't think Belal would become champ anyway but he is most deserving of a shot compared to the other WWs. WME, UFC owners, is run by people who would prefer not to see a Palestinian champ

If Jorge beats Burns this means Leon or Colby will be defending their belt against him. Belal being introduced into this equation means less money for the UFC. This is the only logical explanation.
