The problem was whole top 10's had wrestling backgrounds. #2 Edgar, #3 Mendes, and #5 Lamas all ranked above #7 McGregor with Lentz being at #9. What they all have in common? Wrestling backgrounds.

UFC tied them all up by fighting each other instead.

At 189 No camp Mendes (over ready Frankie) was an acceptable risk because all the money they dumped into promoting it and we see what happened when Mendes had energy.

Conor wants none of that again. Against a bigger better mendes.

He will NEVER fight Khabib. I've been saying this two years and havnt been proven wrong yet!

Khabib could really struggle with a guy who can strike on the back foot. Which is something I'm looking forward to seeing from the Holloway fight and even if Khabib does get into the clinch with Holloway, I'm looking forward to seeing how Max deals with it as his takedown defence from the clinch (using wrist control) is high end stuff.

It's definitely an interesting fight.
