News Dana White has no plans to retire anytime soon: “What the f*ck am I gonna do when I retire?"

Dana will hang around way too long just like some fighters do and wind up a caricature of his younger self. A rambling old rich man who continues to be further and further out of touch with society as a whole.

Bro he is literally already a rambling old rich man who continues to be further and further out of touch with society

I don't think Dana is a good guy, but he's the best one to be in charge of the UFC. Once he leaves, UFC will likely change for the worse. It'll be like Disney after 2015. So I genuinely hope Dana sticks around for another 20 years.

Dana will just have a stroke one day and Hunter Campbell will be UFC President or something.

Dana doesn't have the personality to retire at all. He's a workaholic.

He’s got a cushy job where all of his yes men do the actual work and he simply oversees them lol of course he’s a workaholic

Currently there is no ufc president. After the ufc sold there was a corporate restructuring, and Dana’s official title with the ufc changed from president to ceo, which means on paper he is no longer president. I think once Dana retires Hunter will take over as ceo and they will hire a face to be the president so Hunter won’t have to deal with the media.

On one hand, I fully understand that this mindset is exactly why some people become extremely successful and, consequently, absurdly rich. In my current company, and in the one I worked at before, the owners never retired. One of them is over 80 and still active in the company, even though they are billionaires and could simply enjoy life.

On the other hand, I cannot understand how a person can have nothing they truly love in life besides their job, so much so that they cannot step back and enjoy life, spending time with family and friends. What is the purpose of life, if it’s just to die at your desk?

Not surprising at all. As much as he is a tool, his 'job' is fucking awesome.

He could try to benefit society by helping Jon.

Bob Arum is 94 and still going. Let that sink in.

Some people find purpose or passion in what they do. It becomes better than spending time with family and friends, who probably don’t share that mindset. Family and friends probably enjoy “doing nothing” with their time and lives, like sitting around talking nonsense, while the person with the passion is counting the minutes until he can go back to his passion/purpose. To some, it’s the family and friends who seem like they have a problem, like they have not found a way to do something meaningful with their lives.

What exactly is the point of sitting on the beach when you have something you are eager to do every day all day?

It’s like when Arnold talked about bodybuilding training being like “c*mming” to him. He was like “why wouldn’t I want to c*m all day?”.

lol of course he will never be like “ fuck it im retiring…” he will be forced to leave or get his ass fired. It will happen eventually.

New samurai swords and snow aren't cheap.

Good. I hope Dana never retires. He's been fantastic for the sport.

All the other promotions that have been around as long as he has have all collapsed. Some of the newer ones are hanging on by a thread.

Like it or not, the UFC has succeeded because of Dana.

But go ahead and keep criticizing him as if you know shit about running a billion dollar business. Maybe one day he'll get replaced by someone like Adam Silver or Roger Goodell and I'm sure you'll be happier with that.
