If you think keto and intermittent fasting aren't complete scams then I assure you I know a shit fuck ton more than you about improving one's health.
Intermittent fasting isn't a scam. It's just a means of nutrient restriction so you can maintain or cut calories.
It's basically skipping a meal at the end or beginning of the day. It really isn't that complicated.
I do it in the winter when work gets busy so I stay sharp at work, don't get that post-meal haze and don't snack all day at work and end up going over my calorie goal.
Let's hear why you think keto, intermittent fasting, or whatever other scam you've fallen for works better than calories in vs calories out.
Which is all those scams are forcing the average person to do for once in their life.
Dying to hear your expertise.
Well it's very simple. With keto, you're going to have less glycogen in your body and less water stored with the lack of glycogen, so you'll weigh less. That's fairly simple.
If I only eat 8 hours in a day, I'm very satiated during that 8 hours and am less likely to over eat.
It isn't a matter of "better than calories in calories out." They're just tools to accomplish goals.
It's very easy to get a client in a calorie deficit, but it's even easier if you use IF and they adhere to it. Keto isn't my thing, but if your goal is to weigh less and athletic performance isn't the top priority, I could see it having value. Plus, everyone likes cheese.
In any event, in order for there to be a "scam" there has to be something gaining something. Nobody is gaining anything from me not eating for a period of time other than my body.
