Nothing Colby did or didn't do had any effect on her decision there.

Those docs are probably experienced in traumatology ; I am not, but the most gruesome wounds aren't always the most harmful. For example, the face is probably a clusterfuck of nerves, blood vessels and other tissues, and damage at the bad place could very well have long term consequences.

Then yes, of course, some doctors are always gonna be more cautious than others. In that specific case, I'm not shocked by the decision.
