And yes, EVERYONE should have a problem with people like Bezos treating their workers like shit. It is becoming the standard - All the other companies are seeing how it can be done, and will copy it. It might not be you who has shitty working conditions, but your children, or their children. Anyone who is fine with this insane hyper capitalisme is either rich, or has no understanding of long term consequences.

Still wearing your Bernie Sanders shirt?

Unoriginal. You are the second person in this thread alone to say that.

Next, to show what a cool dude you are, tell me I should give away half of my own pay. Or be really republican and call me a communist. You know you wanna.

Dana is like......The President of the company. I hope he's making at least $20,000,000. And no, he shouldn't give any to the fighters.
<36>

Just did som quick maths -

Dana makes about 20 million a year. If he cut that in half, and "only" made 10 million a year and gave the money to fighters, each and every fighter, on each and every every fight card, could get around 20-25.000$ extra pr. fight. (around 42 cards, around 10/12 fights pr. card).

I find this interesting when Dana and a lot of Sherdoggers talk about UFC not being able to afford to pay fighters more.

Lol. Do you do this in your life? Pay the pizza guy based on what you can afford? Or do you pay the going rate?

Yes, I tip. I tip more now that I have a little money then I did when I was young and broke. And if I was a multi millionaire, I would tip even more.

Also, that has nothing to do with what I wrote in the original post. Reading comprehension seems to be a skill that particularly rightwingers lack.

for my money one of the most beautiful words in the english language is enough

it's truly amazing to me how many people like Dana will never know what it means

Its an interesting philosophical question. Do you wish Elon Musk had decided after PayPal that it was “enough,” and retired to masturbate and post on the Internet? Personally I think society is much better off that he decided to create an electric car company and explore outer space instead.

Lol. Love this kind of response

“you didn’t engage with my dumb post exactly how I wanted so you must not have read said post”

Also you tip a little bit more. Not proportional to your income.

I am not a right winger by the way, there’s a giant gray area between moron q-anon people and resentful whiners

He deserves it for being a joke for hundred thousands of people. Public persons in a deciding position should be compensated.

I personally dislike Dana public persona but he has been very important for MMA going public altho for me he never was a key to the MMA-world, Pride and K1 when it happened was.

Would you be willing to do the same work for half the money so a bunch of your colleagues can eat gold ice cream or drive around in a lambo for a couple of months?

900 fighters on roster x 3 fights a year x $20,000/fight = $54,000,000/year

Not sure how you calculated this.
Boxers and kickboxers make trash as well outside of the top 50 or so. Worse than UFC undercard so this argument is stupid.

Like I've been saying the only thing that will cause the UFC to pay the fighters more is if they have options. Can they go to other promotions and get paid more? If not, the UFC will not pay their fighters more. Very, very simple.

That is a very good salary, but it is most definitely deserved as I am sure it is based on how well the company does. They probably need to pay this much to keep him, and he has probably exceeded their expectations.

why would they give 10 million to some random fighters? And what has this to do with cutting the salary of a guy they can’t live without? The important fighters that make the company do very well is paid extra.

Amazing maths there Einstein.

10,000,000 ÷ 42 ÷ 10 ÷ 2 = 11,904

.....and lol at using Google as a source for a celebrities financial information.

Capitalism is just free consensual trade thats controlled by private citizens. The contrary would be state controlled industry. I'm assuming you would rather have the power rather than tyrannical statists. No regulation or no mutual agreements and rules is not something that's entailed in the capitalistic definition. That's a nuance for ideologues to discuss. You want free, consensual trade that's in your hands instead of the states.
What a myth. You wave away the regulations which are clearly are part of the arguments of capitalism while also pretending the people have any sort of power either way. Corporations are basically states themselves at this point and they are not a representation of private citizens by large. Tyrants control either way, but only one pretends to be working for you, the state. The other tells you to your face it'll happily bleed you dry and replace you instantly.

Surprised they let her keep fighting at 135 after the last time she missed and was seizing on the scale

why would he cut his salary? Make Endeavor do it. They own the UFC, Dana just has a small %

20 million to run a billion dollar plus company is very normal CEO salary, in fact probably on the lower end of the scale.

For example the CEO of blizzard (twice the revenue of UFC) made 154 million in 2020.

If UFC got rid of Dana they would likely pay more for a replacement not less. Dana also does a shit load of work. His at most of the events, his the spokesman of the company. His not just a CEO, his on air talent. Records multiple TV series (DWCS, Ultimate fighter) and just for hosting those shows that kind of salary isn't unheard of.

That said I would love to see fighters get more. Needs to be pressure from other orgs to make it really happen.

Americans (my people) have an odd affinity for the wealthy. We dub guys like Bezos and White as “job creators”, so they’re allowed to treat employees poorly, and those employees should be grateful for it. This logic conveniently scales up, so that companies like BP and Exxon get a pass for ecological disasters, and if you don’t like it, you shouldn’t drive a car.

Lol only 20 million!

Lol good luck making your first billion in 50 years!
