-Says Merab vs Yan was fight of the night. Says there are a lot of performance bonuses to give out. Cejudo will also get $50k.

-This was the last ESPN card. Dana says he enjoyed the parternship. Also mentioned that being a fan of the UFC cost $1500 a year but now it will be $120 a year for all events.

-Is unsure about doing a 3rd fight between Merab and Yan

-Says Pantajo will be out a long time. Van will have a defense before his return.

-Reporter told Dana that Tom Aspinall is upset with him. Dana shrugs it off and says Tom probably took what he said out of context.

-Says him and Merab started their relationship off negatively but they’re in great space now.

-UFC media is garbage but respect to that one reporter who asked Dana why they made Paddy-Justin and Volk-Lopes 2. Reporter said fans were surprised by these matchups. Dana gives a horrible answer and says “that’s the way it worked out in the war room… Yeah.”

-Also ironic that Dana is wearing a sponsor patch on his shirt but fighters can’t.

-Dana is still salty towards Armaan. Says he already had an opportunity but basically ruined it. Says Armaan needs to work his way back. Says too much goes into an event for someone to back out last minute. Dana seems to have forgot he said Armaan vs Hooker was a #1 contender fight.

-There are tentative plans to do a show in Japan.

-Dana said Van felt bad after the fight. Dana said there is no bad way to win a fight. I wonder what Aljo & GSP think of Dana saying that.

I love how he's spinning the Paramount deal into a win for the fans, as if they did it because they realized that the PPV model was too expensive for the fans.

They abandoned the PPV model because they were defeated by illegal streaming, and the watered down, overpriced cards aren't selling anymore.

Merit based matchmaking at the championship level is, and has been, largely dead for a long time.

Yeah... about that...

Pantoja's head kick was meant to violently destroy Van.

But Van looked like an Alpha in confidently taking and catching it then pushing forward -- effectively tossing Pantoja to the floor where his arm got damaged in the fall.

Pantoja then quit.

Van beat Pantoja fair and square -- he should be proud he made Pantoja quit.

Nothing Pantoja or Sherdoggers can do to change that.

I bet on Van. I was rooting for Van. I love the kid and am glad he's champ. (Pantoja was a great champ too, to be fair).

Van obviously did exactly what he should've to counter the head kick. And yes it led to the injury. Agree that Van has nothing to feel badly about, and he can wear the belt with pride.

But all of that can be true and it can still be a fluke injury that finished the fight and doesn't give much of a true indication of who the better fighter is. These things aren't mutually exclusive.

I'm all in on the Aspinall quit and is a pussy train, but this is where I draw the fucking line, bud.<KhabibBS>

The only thing Dana thinks about is how many rounds of power slap he's going to play with his wife that night.
