Very true. Kayla’s a big, strong chick who has world class judo and is in her prime. She can barely make 145. Nunes is really a BW, and getting towards the end of her career.
 
I picked Nunes in the poll and if I'm putting money down it's going on Nunes, but that said, the way she lost wasn't a "fluke," it was her not fighting like herself.

It could just be an "off-night" but what caused the off night? If it's a lack of motivation to prepare/train or an inability to focus and be in the moment, those are correctable things, but they were caused by something. Perhaps she just overlooked an opponent but I don't think that's the case with all the shit Pena talked.

I'm just saying if she doesn't fix whatever caused her to have an "off night" the rematch could go the same or be worse. She needs to identify what the problem was and fix it and that's a lot easier to do with training technique than trying to figure out what went wrong mentally.
 
It was weird seeing Nunes get punched in the face repeatedly in Round 2, especially the Ronda-esque striking that Pena displayed in the first round.

Something was definitely off
 
For the longest most championship fights have been de facto the best two out of three. It makes the first fight feel less important. Though it's not like a belt really means anything; it's just a promotional tool.

It looks like her in the first round. The thing is that Peña actually kept moving forward instead of backing away like others has done, GDR showed that Núñez is hittable if you throw punches back and stand your ground as she comes in.

Her will has been broken. She has a new baby at home and her focus is watered down. ;-
I don't hear her camp calling for the rematch yet. She might be mentally altered after so long at the top like GSP

If you mean Lawler then that's true he got KTFO by Woodley but had to take a whole year off after for injuries.

That fight was fixed. Rematch won't be and Nunes kos Pena early.
 
Dana hoping Nunes finishes Pena in the rematch so he can declare it a fluke and salvage his Kayla Harrison fight
