I love bashing Joe with the rest of you but I still can't get behind the though Merab is a boring fighter. Belal? Sure. But Merab is very exciting even though he doesn't finish fights.

I love his fights. The relentless pursuit is unique. At a time where the sport is filled with well rounded carbon copies with varying degrees of athleticism separating them apart, I will take an outlier like Merab who always moves forward anytime.

I respect your opinion but all I see is 120 takedown attempts, Mebum succeeds on like 8 of them, the opponent gets tired, Mebum starts taunting in the last few minutes and its another boring decision.

To me, you have fighters like ILIA and DDP who finish just about EVERY fight….how the hell can you root for this clown?

Eye pokes are a problem but it's pretty clear, without a shadow of a doubt, that Henry was faking the severity and was looking for a way out. There's video. It's really not debatable at this point.

Don't get me wrong if the sport was full of Merab's it would lose its appeal and I wouldn't want to watch it. But he is unique enough currently that I enjoy it. Ilia is the kind of fighter that you wish every fighter could fight like.

Eye pokes aren't illegal, that's just a thing that they say but it isn't true. Do you lose a point or a fight for eye poking someone? No.
