Dana: GSP won rounds 1, 3, 5.

How can someone think that the judges decision isn't reality when that's what ultimately defines a winner by decision?

It's real in that way of course but that's just an artificial reality that is entirely created by those 3 judges. It starts and ends with the official record on paper.

Because there are two men inside that cage beating on each other and one guy does it better than the other.
That's the only reality there is.

"Better" is a subjective word. The people that actually get to decide the meaning of it are the judges.

Yeah this thread is funny. A bunch of GSP fans trying to justify why GSP won a decision, then a bunch of foreigners arguing over the meaning of the word "reality"

Not an accurate description of all the content of the thread, nor the current discussion since it's not the concept of reality that's being discussed.

This thread is yet another example of that most people are very sloppy in their perception of things. Not strange that so many people question the scientific method.

His ego wont allow him to admit it. Anybody who knows how to score a mma fight knows that gsp won. Points>>damage. Im not saying its right, but it is what it is.
That sounds like what I tell people when discussing the result of the fight.

Exactly, and their opinion is just as subjective as anybody elses, that's exactly what I am saying. For the sake of making this sport legal, presentable on TV and keeping the business going with clean cut winners and losers we are kind of expected to accept their opinion as an establishment of truth. But beyond that we really don't have to - at all.

There was a time most people agreed the earth was flat. Universally accepted truth.

Except in reality it wasn't.

Did he say Dana personally told him that? Because there was a false report floating around message boards that was saying Dana said that and maybe Jake just read that.

Dana was pissed off at GSP at the time and wanted to publicly discredit his win. I know Dana generally never lets his personal feeling cloud his objectivity, but even the most level-headed people in the world have their moments.

First of all their opinion isn't subjective to the result, it's what defines the result.

Furthermore the comparison to the shape of the Earth is invalid. The shape of the world is an absolute fact while deciding the winner in an MMA fight is not. It's based on an imperfect rule set made by man and has an inherent subjective component to it.

A lot of B.S. from Dana,he didn't want GSP at the post fight presser for fear he would spill the beans on PEDs.

pretty interesting train of thought
GSP was rocked in the fight and he could be not in entire control of what he says , plus GSP has indicated numerous times he does know the names of people doing peds
very interesting

This is the problem with forcing yourself to score "toss-up" rounds for one fighter, instead of correctly scoring it 10-10.

If you take every close round and give it to GSP he actually wins a fight in which he didn't clearly win ANY round.

He lost but was gifted the decision. Why can't gsp nuthuggers accept this?
It's happened before in mma.

Because Georges is one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time. He went 25-2, defeated every fighter he ever faced, won 33 consecutive rounds, and has 19 wins in the UFC, the most in history, then retired as champion.

That's why.

After the fight the GSP haters said " even Dana white said GSP lost "

Now Dana white says GSP won and the GSP haters feel it don't matter what Dana says ? Lol

Here, let me fix that for you:

Now Dana white says GSP won and the GSP nuthuggers feel even Dana white said GSP won ? Lol
