The big test will be Hooker's TD Defense and Islam's Striking Defense. It should be interesting. Hooker gave Poirier a tough fight for five rounds with over a hundred significant strikes. Hooker has a five inch reach advantage on this fight. It will be fun.

Hooker is probably one of the tougher matches for Islam in the top 10. I'm happy this fight is happening.

I can't recall Hooker getting outgrappled recently, and he's a tall long rangy fighter who is great at beating grapplers. Of course Islam's grappling ability is different from other grapplers in the divison due to his combination of wrestling, judo, sambo. When it comes to standup grappling he doesn't just rely on takedowns, he is good at tossing and sweeping fighters to the ground. And on the ground he has great control and great BJJ.

I think Islam will win and I'm rooting for Islam, but this could be a fun fight. Wish it was 5 rounds.

Khabib beat whoever they put in front of him. Gaethje was touted as the D1 wrestler who would neutralize his TD's, and when that didn't happen the haters returned to arguing that he didn't face any tough challenges lol

Well, it was all that was available at the time. The division had no grapplers. Khabib did have favorable match ups pretty much every fight. Would have been great to see the Chandler fight.
