It’s just Japanese tattoo is the GOaT tattoo style, with the flow and backgrounds. So it’s dominant in tattoo culture

Kid Yamamoto started out with a bunch of western "one point" tattoos, and even back then sherdoggers would praise him as having "cool asian tattoos"

Then year after year Kid added more and more stuff and apparently started to make a conscious effort to make them flow like a traditional irezumi

If you look at pictures of him in his last fights compared to his debuts, it's interesting how he changed his style.

I'm in the minority that like the "less is more" style, so I prefer his earlier look, but to each their own...
