Crime Dallas Officer Kills Man in Apartment "She Thought Was Hers"

You don't mistankenly enter someone's house and shoot and kill them while claiming to thought you were entering your own residence either.....

OK. Doesn't make your claim any less of a lie.

What also jumps out at me is the fact that she was a cop in Dallas for only 4 years, apparently after having been turned down for employment by numerous other agencies.
I was a cop for 25 years and the consensus among us vets was that you couldn't even consider yourself a "Cop" until at least 10 years on the job.
There was just too much to absorb and learn about what it means, what responsibility it entails and the maturity necessary to not fuck up like she did.
Dallas no doubt had lowered their standards to bolster personnel numbers.
lol remember when LAPD did that back in the 90s?
Rampart Division was the result.
Oakland did it too, The Riders resulted.
Vetting is critical.
I know you said you didnt follow closely but I wonder what you think of officer Rivera (the one she was dating and fucking even a couple days after killing botham) and the Texas ranger guy (cant think of his name) who testified that he doesnt believe she committed a crime at all. Especially the second guy - is it just some thin blue line shit that compels him to believe that?

And who the fuck are the Texas rangers anyway? They seem like some bunk ass fake FBI. That guy alone ruined my image of them and this case is all I know about them.

but why was his door ajar? expecting someone?

My wife is awful about that honestly. Anyone walking into my house at night because my wife forgot to put her ass into it is gonna catch a round.

The Texas Rangers are the Texas version of the feds. If they are involved in your case you’re in deep trouble.

I’m surprised his testimony wasn’t allowed. Not that I think it would have made a difference.

Wasn’t she banging a married Latino dude.

Not very racist moves there
Nah. Im half mexican. My mex cuzes bang white chicks but some of those broads would never bang a brutha unfortunately, according to my cuzes from what the broads tell em. Of course , they could be lying bitches lol.

To the first point, this bitch was all kinds of fucked up as far as I can tell. How she ever got hired is beyond me, oh wait 'we need more female officers'.
A cop for four years fucking married dudes, unknown drinking/drug habits, working extended shifts, walking around armed but 'carrying' her body armor? Idiot.
Texas Rangers are like the California State Police we have here. Almost zero authority and zero investigative responsibility. If a crime occurs in an area with
no local jurisdiction, they can be called in but are largely useless. I imagine, since it's Texas and everything is bigger there, they are even bigger douches in that state.

They killed Bonnie and Clyde fwiw

My mom was married to an alcoholic cop that cheated on her and made off with a 150k Christmas bonus she earned 2 days before filing for divorce.

Amber seems par for the course

Regardless of any one individual’s stance, it is definitely possible and probably common for people to be racist against a certain race but not against another that is not their own.

This is the same Texas Ranger that wanted to testify as to where the victim was shot based on where they found his flips flops.

How do you deter someone from being a dumbass woman, sexting it up? You can only cruelly punish them more than they should be, and nothing will be deterred.

Does this “deterrence” somehow raise people’s IQ’s and common sense?

We should just punish every ignorant buffoon out there even harsher? Cuz that’ll teach em! ?????

She is an officer of the law that didnt take her training seriously, had a hero complex and was using the FOP's prepaid legal to save her lying ass.

She had a duty to retreat and assess, not go in guns blazing without verifying what her target was.

20 years plus is totally acceptable for a fake ass hero.

It is pretty scummy though. They should've presented this evidence at trial. Now she's likely gonna get a decent appeal based on this bullshit. I don't know why they're letting it be a factor on sentencing. It seems very unprofessional and spiteful to let her social media posts into the proceedings after the fact. She's guilty of murder. Let's just go with that, and not try to establish motive based on social media posts after the fact.
Eh...but things like that give you a glimpse of their character, and could help you better understand their mind.
If she had a bunch of "woke" texts about the preciousness of life and equality for all, etc, it'd be a lot easier to believe her story that this was really all just a stupid, tragic accident.
When a cop makes the kinds of comments she's made, it makes it a lot harder to believe her story in a case like this.
I don't think there's anything really dirty about it. This could work against you, or for you, but that depends on what you decided to tweet or put up on your Facebook.
I could be showing my age, but I'm truly baffled at how much shit people publicly post up with their name attached to it.

You know what else wasnt entered into jury evidence?

The fact she used police resources to find out who lived above her cause of all the singing and stomping.

Yall wanna cry about texts, but dont want to address the fact that this very well me have been premeditated.

I need to see the same energy for that.

Pretty disturbing trend on Twitter and Facebook of people celebrating this. Not because of the victim, but because she was a cop. There's a lot of nonsense about "finally" a black person gets justice. It's silly, and peddling that false narrative is taking away from the family of the guy who died here. It should be about their loss.

The ole "let's not make it political!" line.
We can walk and chew bubble gum at the same time. There can be more than one angle and problem at one time.
It is a tragedy for the family, but it also touches on issues having to do with the police, and how they operate.

Other cops tried to cover her, she could have definitely gotten off free for this in the past, and that a supposed trained officer of the law, someone tasked with the job of protecting her community, a person like that not only apparently doesnt know where she lives, but shot and killed a man in his own home.....yea...there's more to that than just the family's loss, or a moron of a woman with a badge.
And the only time we ever talk about big issues is when shit like this happens.
Nobody is talking about how police operate until someone gets wrongly shot

I agree, but it should've been brought up in the trial. Bringing it up in sentencing phase, seems dirty and spiteful. You present your case in the trial, and the jury should decide on the punishment based on the trial. This ain't a death penalty case. She's guilty of murder. Decide her fate on those factors, and not outside factors after the fact.

Maybe this is the norm though, I don't know. I'm not a legal expert. From everything I've seen in other cases, it just seems unusual to present this stuff in the sentencing phase.

Does it really matter?

A cop murdered a man in his own home. That’s a home invasion murder as far as I’m concerned, max sentence.

It’s tragic that this girl ruined her life if it was indeed an “accident”, but she put an innocent man in the earth, and permanently and brutally tainted his families life forever.

Some things just can’t be allowed to stand, and this is one of them if I’ve ever seen it.
