DC has defended his LHW belt three times. Goes up to HW and wins the belt and immediately sets a title defense against the guy who held the HW title defense record before Stipe.
He wins a marquee fight against Anderson Silva while holding LHW belt as well.

Conor wins the FW belt, never defends. Gets subbed in 2 by Nate Diaz then decisions Diaz, wins LW belt, never defends. Loses a marquee fight against Floyd Mac. Is stripped of both belts.

For anybody saying I conveniently forgot that roided Jones Ko D.C. So? It's a no contest, it does not count.

He was above him anyway, anyone who successfully defended a title is

He will never be GOAT above Conor until he sells more PPVs and makes more money.

PRIZE FIGHTER, by definition, is about PRIZE first, and fighting second.

Who was the UFC GOAT before Conor came along? GSP, GOAT career pay and career PPV sales, not some random HW who can surely kick GSP's ass in an actual fight

Never thought Conor was in the discussion.

I respectfully disagree. MM is in top GOAT lists and he doesn't sell ppvs. GOAT is about accomplishments in the sport.
Right now D.C. Is easily already ranked above Brock for all-time HW, but Brock easily brings in more money- I think you attribute too much to drawing power for GOAT discussions.
That said- GSP is above both D.C.& Conor. D.C. Is above Conor.

Obviously ... one is a GOAT and other is a disgrace to the sport.

DCs in ring accomplishments make him GOAT contender. Conor doesnt have the the resume to be anywhere near the GOAT convo.

MM is only in top GOAT lists if you're delusional. MM cannot fight and he cannot sell. An average LW Conor can KTFO in 1 round would beat his ass silly. DC would kill every one of the contenders MM fought in one afternoon while drunk.

Brock Lesnar is a special case because he's a two-sport megastar, DC isn't. His fame and PPV came from WWE, not just the UFC. And out of all WWE/MMA cross over stars Brock is indeed the GOAT.

GSP is the one sport GOAT in the UFC before Conor and he was far from the best fighter in the UFC, he was the GOAT because he sold the most PPVs career-wise (again, as a single sport athlete). Now that benchmark is Conor. DC has 2 great PPVs with Jones and will move up the list even more if he fights Brock, but until he tops or at least comes close to Conor he's not in GOAT conversation.

Cormier's career>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Conor's career
