I would say the exact same thing to them or any other religion getting heated about such inconsequential things. It only becomes a problem when they try to curtail your ability to openly practice and profess your faith.

Do you honestly think God / Jesus cares who is playing lead in Jesus Christ Superstar? Will it in any way harm your ability to be a Christian? Why MUST they treat your faith with the same reverence that you do? If you truly believe, allow the Lord to deal with them in HIS own time.

The world increasingly does these things because they know it will get under your skin and ultimately you won't cut their heads off like another religion might. You want it to stop, stop giving them the sniveling outrage they want.

No surprise that some renditions, like this one, would be an even more aggressive mockery.

Those apparently be the breaks when the adherents of this religion don’t saw peoples heads off in broad daylight when mocked like a certain other religion I don’t need to mention(ISLAM!).

This has NOTHING to do with Jesus

Jesus wouldn't have been as Liberal or Conservative as so many seem to think he would. He said very plainly "Render unto Ceasar what is Ceasar's". He would have been fine telling everyone to obey the laws of their lands unless those laws contradicted the teachings and laws laid down to the Hebrews to follow and the new understanding that Jesus himself brought to instruct them with.

Jesus was concerned with souls. Not taxes, not pronouns, not those who might mock him or so much of the social crap we all get tied up in. Yes, he got angry at the money lenders in the temple but not because of anything mundane. He was angry at the disrespect to the sanctity of the temple which at that time was supposed to represent the earthly seat of God.

As for homosexuals and the like, Jesus would have offered them peace and would have tried to get them to change their lifestyle as it was and still is taboo according to scripture. But he wouldn't have shunned them for it. He would have continued to try to lead them away from it.
