Gina vs R3 has nothing to do with records, fairness or rankings and everyone knows it.

It's a fight that will sell tickets and there's nothing wrong with that.

It also wouldn't be the first time the UFC has used matchmaking to sell tickets rather than what made sense in the rankings. Why is that a bad thing when it comes to the girls?

Cyborg hasn't fought MMA since July, 2013 and she's never fought at 135, her record is also littered with cans. She doesn't deserve a title shot at all.

To be fair, it's hard to find someone that's willing to fight her. She had to really stretch to find an opponent sometimes, and they were just women looking to boost their own name by taking a fight with a much higher-ranked opponent. She destroyed one of them in 16 seconds.

Well, Carano wasn't a can, and Cyborg has been recognized as a top fighter for a long time. Fighting for the title in a nearby weight class wouldn't be unreasonable.

That being said, I'm glad she's fighting once at 135 before a title shot, I prefer this to an immediate title shot. If she can prove that she can fight clean and make weight, give her the title shot.

If she fights clean then she should make weight.

Fair enough but Julia Budd is a legit 145er that has called out Cyborg before.

R3 also has a 16 second destruction and Davis has a legit resume and winning record.
