Well, Carano wasn't a can, and Cyborg has been recognized as a top fighter for a long time. Fighting for the title in a nearby weight class wouldn't be unreasonable.

That being said, I'm glad she's fighting once at 135 before a title shot, I prefer this to an immediate title shot. If she can prove that she can fight clean and make weight, give her the title shot.

Gina on the other hand was the face of women's MMA, and is a legitimate draw. You are the kind of person to bitch about Nick Diaz getting a title shot after losing to Carlos Condit, and then it turns out to be the highest PPV draw of the year.

No one besides hardcore MMA fans cares about Cyborg. If anything she will probably be an anti-draw as people are put off my her manliness. To the casual WMMA fan, sex sells, and the only thing Cyborg brings is some hardcore fans who won't move the needle.

Rhonda is the draw, if Cyborg was worth any money she would have been picked up by a promotion instead of looking for anything resembling a meaningful fight.

I don't think she's tested herself enough to be considered a top fighter (even though she is). She has fought like 2 girls out of all her fights that were actually tests.

I could care less if she's ready, as I don't follow womens MMA, except for a few title fights here and there. This is something that would sell if it's promoted properly. You seem scared that your favorite female idol will lose?
