I think it will get pushed again to next year. Probably spring which looks like they should have done in the first place. Bad PR department.

Don't think the PR department has much say in this. It's probably rich ass investors shouting "WHEN DO WE GET OUR MONIES?" in every meeting and they won't accept more than a couple of months delay at a time.

If you ask the actual game designers and developers when they think its done the answer would probably be holiday 2021 or something.

Damn, I had booked off Nov 19/20 from work already lol. Gonna have to change the date

If they felt they couldn't deliver an optimal product then I'd rather they delay it as long as it takes.

If it's not ready by the 10th of Dec they might be better off just not announcing a release until it's already in a state they can live with. Then they can surprise everyone by saying it's releasing in a week or whatever.

Lol. Im a huge witcher/cdrp fan. Got the first witcher when it came out, loved it. Did not like the 2nd witcher. The 3rd witcher is a god damn miracle...but i dont care about 2077 anymore. Ill check it out when it drops.

Seems correct:
ABOUT THE DELAY: "This situation is different" compared to previous changes to the deadline - the game for PC is ready and plays well on next-gen consoles and the company is finalizing the process concerning current gen consoles.

I assumed it was about optimizing for current consoles. Hopefully this means that most of the bugs and glitches are fixed at this point.

Can't believe they're delaying it again, though. Their good faith and will within the gaming community is fading, and the expectations keep rising for the game. At this point, it needs to be amazing or bust.

The chances of this being every bit the buggy mess Witcher 3 was for like 8 months is increasing by the day. I'm thinking it's gonna run like crap on PC and won't be optimized for a good while.

Hmm I didn't beat Witcher 3 on PC but I put in 20 hours before I decided it was garbage. I don't remember any bugs with that game and looking at my achievements I started playing it in August of that year it was released so 3 months after release.

So after pressing their master copy, they then delay? Thats uh, not a great sign.

Please don't send death threats to game developers because they delay a product.

FFS, imagine the super saiyan levels of entitlement to do something like that.
I really wish those idiots are put on blast. Show their account names etc. Expose em.

Worst year I've ever seen and it isn't close

Actually, this year is kicking ass. Like you can't still do much of shit.... so I am just hitting up the chinese and korean AMPs like a motherfucker...

So, I saw rumors of people at CD PR being forced to work 100 hour work weeks.

I um, think, and am pretty sure, that's fucking illegal in Poland with their labor laws. The last I saw was CD PR spoke with employees and asked if they'd be ok with working a 6 day work week for a total of 48 hours a week. The employees voted and majority said they would be ok with that. ADD IN, CD PR is paying them OT in the form of like double time and that the employees on the project get a chunk of the sales of the game....

I don't get the ranting and raving about 100 hour work weeks.

Just gamer things

From my understanding this doesn’t apply to contract workers, which a lot of them are.

Jason Schreier is one of the most reputable game journalists out there. I don’t think he’s making things up.
