So all the people upset about CDPR’s working conditions, do you guys boycott clothing and other things made in those hellish factories in Bangladesh and shit?

No, the blue checks on Twitter haven't told them to be outraged about it yet. These people are mindless drones, in case you couldn't already tell.

No one said anything about boycotting. CDPR thought they could become even bigger darlings to the gaming community by taking a stance against crunch. They’ve lied to everyone, including their staff and it’s blowing up in their faces.

Yeah, it'll blow up in their face big time, when bags of hot air like you still buy the game. You're gonna really show them, crusader.

They’re getting a ton of bad publicity, people are cancelling preorders (I did a while back). Yeah, it’s not going well right now.

I’m sure it’ll be a big success and the Witcher 3 fanboys like yourself will continue to bend over and spread your cheeks for whatever CDPR rams in.

Make sure to thank them, like a good simp.

So you're not gonna buy the game? I can quote on that, yes?

You sure can, you feckless little turd.

Cancelled on 9/11 (such a tragedy).

If it's a really good game, then why wouldn't someone buy it? That seems counterproductive if you're looking to support the developers, as I believe many have a deal where they are getting a percentage of sales.

The amount that the executives would get absolutely dwarfs any couple of grand the devs would get as a bonus.

Besides the shitty grandstanding they tried to pull, the game has been in development hell and quite honestly doesn’t look that interesting.

I have plenty of other things to play.

Meh *shrugs* I love open world, first person RPGs. Especially in a sci-fi urban setting, which we've had barely any of. So I'll play it regardless, and hope for the best.

Exactly, I don't like sci-fi shit but I love open worlds with reactive populations and some form of living breathing population. I couldn't careless if the story is as good as stale bread.

Your pre-order shit means nothing. I mean never ever, @Dizzy. Like you'll never play it...ever, because you're so concerned about contributing to these draconian work environments. Like, I won't ever see you comment on this game after it's released. When it's released and everyone is all "OMG, this game is amazing!", I won't see any commentary from you on the game? That's a promise?

Hope you enjoy it.

The funniest part is if the game flops commercially then it’s these poor workers that are going to end up losing their jobs.

It’ll be a success. There are too many gamers heavily invested in that company.

They’ll slurp up whatever they’re fed.

My guess, the gameplay sucks, big time.

Top management woke up and demanded it’s fixed before Christmas.

It's phony outrage from people who can't comprehend anything but clocking in and clocking out.

It's also hilarious, considering that gamers are the first to complain about a project not being up to snuff, and bitch and moan about developers being lazy if some piece of grass in the game glitches out.

They don't realize that all their whinging is the cause of studios cracking down on their employees. Can't have it both ways, children.
The game industry doesn't HAVE to crunch on every single game. It's often poor planning and use of resources by those at the top, but the grunts are the ones that pay for it.

If they've got deadlines with investors and clients, yes they do. Every industry does this. Yes, you could argue that the business world isn't some pie in sky fantasy land, where the people at the top are happy with low profits, but that's just not how business works, nor will it ever not work that way. The whole "whenever maaan" mentality, is not a smart, nor will it produce the billions in profits required to keep the train on track, and give you, the consumer, all these nice things to buy at a relatively low cost.

You want $200 dollar games? Your thinking is how we get $200 dollar games.

They don't have to constantly over promise. Crunch is the result of suits that aren't doing the development promising shit that is anywhere from unrealistic to impossible. It often screws the consumer too when something like fallout 76 happens.

A project like this is never really at 100%. Look at all the features they removed, and they obviously have concepts for a ton more that got canned.

Longer development time would just result in putting even more stuff into the game and crunch just as much.

Same with higher prices, just a chance to make even more money for the executives and share holders. There is no 'enough'.
