It pretty much is except movement speed is a little bit faster

Only difference my eyes noticed

Obviously I want 60fps more than 30fps but its not because it looks different. I can't tell that it looks a bit different. I want 60 instead of 30 because that way if I lose 10 or 15 frames I won't notice it as compared to losing 10 frames when you are sitting at 30fps to begin with.

Never understood how people can’t see the difference. After playing 60+ all the time, 30 is like the action is underwater.

Honestly... I can't really tell the difference. Maybe I need to see it live but watching a side by side comparison on youtube does nothing for me.
Definitely don’t doubt you. Many others have said the same, and highly doubt you’re all lying.

And honestly didn’t watch that video. Just going by when I play on my PC

That’s too bad. Would like to see studios getting away from this.

I just don’t think it’s possible, not without a “fuck it, it’s done when it’s done” attitude. I read Masters of Doom four years ago, and Romero and Carmack even talked about “crunch time” at id 30 years ago when trying to finish up the Commander Keen games.

I’m not sure it’s ever been at the level it is now. Employees are legit having breakdowns from the amount of hours they’re working. Burnout in this industry seems like a very real problem.

Either way, don’t try to gobble up good PR at every opportunity and then shit on the people busting their asses by reneging on your commitment.

Extreme crunch to fuel our entertainment..

Shitty time for their employees..

“Starting today, the entire (development) studio is in overdrive,” Badowski wrote, elaborating that this meant “your typical amount of work and one day of the weekend.” The extra work would be paid, as required by Polish labor laws. Many other video game studios don’t pay for overtime.

“I take it upon myself to receive the full backlash for the decision,” he wrote. “I know this is in direct opposition to what we’ve said about crunch. It’s also in direct opposition to what I personally grew to believe a while back -- that crunch should never be the answer. But we’ve extended all other possible means of navigating the situation.”

I'll play this game someday but not at launch. There's been too many delays and now this shit.

This will never change in the industry without unionizing. Delay after delay means that theyve probably been crunching for a goddamn long time.

I guarantee that the game will still release feeling like its lacking a little more polish, due to the scope and scale of what theyre trying to achieve. This just shows the incompetence of project managers in the industry.

Naw. Great things come from slavery and misery

Hyperbole aside, it's true. It kills me at how gamers get appalled at working conditions, but will bitch about any little glitch that shows up in their games, and demand perfection. You know what doesn't get you perfection? A lax work environment, where the attitude is "Whatever, whenever, maaaan. Oh', you want a fix for those glitches? Whatever, whenever, maaaan. Oh', does the game feel slapped together by people who didn't really give a shit? Whatever, maaan. What do you want us to do? Work hard? Pssh...."

You know how you get Rockstar level attention to detail and polish? Slaves.

Yes, getting more than one day off per week for months on end is definitely going to result in a lax work environment. Those fucking slackers.

You talk so tough, you must be the meekest little thing.

Oh' child, you see, in business, deadlines are a real thing. Much like the papers on your route have to be out by a certain time. Don't like it? Quit.

Ah yes, these deadlines that get pushed back and back and back. It couldn’t be mismanagement or trying to get a profit out of as small a staff as possible. It’s these damn slackers who can’t hack it in the real world.

Is there a stance you take where you’re not a complete scumbag? Jesus lol.
