I cannot discern any difference between 1080p and 4K, nor any difference between 30 fps vs 60 fps.
I notice a slight difference between 1080p and 4k but it's not worth the attack on my framerate. The difference between 30fps and 60fps is a big deal to me though, and it's almost painful when switching from playing my PC to my PS4.

I value framerate quite highly and i'm happy to see 60fps become the standard for consoles, finally.

Well, maybe there is something wrong with me. I’ve got mad myopia and astigmatism, and have been wearing corrective lenses since I was six years old. I’ve also never been able to make one of these 3d puzzles work for me even once in my entire life.

Wow. I haven't done one of these in a long time. Been years since the last one I saw on the internet. My dad used to have all the Magic Eyes books in his clinic. Sometimes I'd be forced to sit and wait, so I spent a lot of time with them. I got to the point where I could almost always find the image in a new one I hadn't seen before in under 10 seconds, but this one took me a solid minute, maybe more.

I don't know of any trick. You just sit there, keep your eyes on the image, but let your eyes go "lazy", you know, changing the focus point so the image is blurry, doing it more or less until the image just sort of suddenly appears. For some who know how to cross their eyes it helps to go cross-eyed, then cross them more or less intensely until the image pops out.

It's interesting because in basketball they teach you to train your eyes on the rim, but there isn't agreement on where: front, back, or the "magic spot" in the net. They said just do what is natural. The last was always natural to me even before those books came along just from shooting as a kid. I sense there is some connection in focusing on an invisible point of space.

I don't know of any trick.

Some people didn't have to, but the most common trick when these things were all the rage, were to cross your eyes to make two images, and then slowly uncross them to where the images would sink back up.

You can do the same thing with "3D" Youtube videos. I guess the goal is to overlap the images, and for some reason it creates the 3D illusion.

Really missing out on the fun looking dog.

I’ve got shitty eyes but stuff like this always worked for me.

Hahaha. You dumb bastard, it's not a schooner, it's a sail boat.

It's a dog wearing 2018 glasses and his paw up. I'm great at these things.

Thinking I might cancel my PS4 preorder, change it to Xbox and get a series X. Sounds like the game could use the improved performance.

Nope. I was wondering why an Xbox over the PS5?
Well im still on the fence but leaning towards Xbox. Playstation clearly has the more solid first party line up but honestly I'm not a big fan of most of those games. Xbox feels like the best way to play the games I really want to play with better performance like Cyberpunk and others.

But we don’t know anything about how Cyberpunk will perform on the PS5 or the Series X.

True, but they have said it will perform better and it sounds like it's going to push current gen systems to their limit if not underperform on them. Im just thinking if im gonna go series X rather than PS5 why buy the PS4 version of the game?

Its a fair assumption to think that a game will perform better on better hardware.

Yeah sure, but I’m just pointing out that it’s entirely possible that both the PS5 and XSX might have locked in modes of “performance” 1080p/60 fps and “quality” 4K/30fps which by the looks of it several games for the next gen already seem to be adopting.

Those are still superior to the performance on current gen consoles.

This doesn't mean they look the same. As I pointed out with Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Ubisoft didn't confirm 4K@60fps on the PS5 until nearly two weeks after confirming it for the Xbox Series X. If they were going to run the exact same version of both platforms, they would have confirmed this on the same day.

Ergo, this means they had to go figure out if it was feasible to easily downgrade the graphics for the PS5 so that they could maintain 4K@60fps.

Downgraded graphics? Like less tracing on their rays?
