custom winning gear.

after seeing the video again, the fg 3000, does not look like it shifts.

the fg 3000 is 13 ounces. I will email Steve again, to see what he says

I'm tempted to just go and order it and put in the details.

Does anyone who have the fg2900 think a piece of elastic would make a difference?

I think if it were elastic it would be fine. Mine fits fairly snug anyway without needing the elastic to "bridge the gap".

I'd say go for it, it can only help.

Did someone confirm it was elastic though? It actually looks like a plastic clip to me which I thought wouldnt handle punches well.

I can't see it being worse than the fg 2900. the piece of elastic would only make it better imo. the only downfall I see is that the elastic would hit the nose causing greater damage. But if jorge linares uses it as his main headgear, I just can't see it being bad.

From the Rakuten page: FG3000
●The difference with FG-2900 is an ear cover, an irregularity part of the cheeks cover
I moved it to the を inside and made the outside a flat. Furthermore, it is covered cheeks
By the sewing on of a stopper stopping the gap between front (lips) face
I can protect it still more safely.
●It is - four weeks for approximately three weeks on the appointed date of delivery
●I come by each color reputation

Blair may be right, I don't think it's elastic, more like a plastic stopper.

It would be nice if someone from Rakuten or Winning could confirm though.

When I bought my 2900 years ago the 3000 was still on the website, but it looked to me like it was a plastic clip and it would either get smashed into your face and cut your mouth or the clip itself would break and just be a hassle to get fixed.

I figured thats why it was discontinued.

But if it's elastic that might work well to pull the cheek protectors close together and help protect the nose a bit more for those whose cheeks stretch the headgear wide open and expose the nose.

doesn't seem to be problem on the video though?

Asked them, dunno if I will get a response, but the FG3000 is not looking so good now.

what a disappointment. Kaz just emailed me back saying it's not elastic or a clip.. even more so, he said it don't protect the eyes or nose. The material is actually mesh.

I see it's just something that connects the gap. Wonder if it's worth $10 more.

From the product description, it looks like it's made to hold the cheek protectors closer together.

Also from the product description, I seems like the raised bump on the check protector is reversed. The raised portion is on the inside, where as the 2900 has the raised portion on the outside.
