In an effort to promote the movement to organize fighters, the Culinary Union has started a website called Fighters' Agenda containing posts supportive of the unionization cause. The most recent post titled "Women Fight Cheaper" claims female UFC fighters are "paid less in base salary when compared to male fighters."
It goes on to note that female UFC fighters earn 61% as much as their male peers and only 41% when Ronda Rousey's excluded from the analysis, far below the national average of 82% according to Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development statistics.

Well, the war between the UFC and the Culinary Union is still on, but if any of this pressure helps raise fighter pay for anyone on the roster, the scrutiny is perhaps worth it.
It's evident that the Culinary Union is on a vicious smear campaign against the UFC due to the Fertittas not unionizing their casinos, but if recent actions from the UFC has shown us anything, it's that they're no angels either.
The disastrous Reebok deal has really antagonized the promotion, and this is just following up on a recent report that the Culinary Union and Teamsters Union wanted to aid in unionizing UFC fighters. How legitimate those intentions are is anyone's guess.
