You CS go players probably know all about this mess. I don't play, but I'm subscribed to TMartn for COD info. What are y'all's thoughts on this? Will there be charges? Fines? Lawsuits? Prison?

Both scumbags. They acted like they "found" a great csgo gambling site while they actually owned it.

I'm pretty disappointed in Trev. He seems like a nice dude and why not just say, "Hey, I love CS Go and I know some of you guys do to, so maybe check out my new site and see if you can score some cool skins!" Seems like that would have pretty much handled things from the beginning.

yeah his apology was cringeworthy also trying to get sympathy with his dog haha, they are both in serious legal trouble.

I'm usually not one to wish bad things on people but i hope these two get in trouble for it to set an example. Advertising gambling to kids is as low as it gets....And don't even get me started on them potentially manipulating the results in those videos since they're the owners of the site. The things people do for money

To be fair, in the TOS there is a clause that says you must be 18 to play. I don't know if that's enough to help them stay out of trouble, but the whole thing is just shady AF. Those dudes are rich, why risk it??

i was hearing they changed it to say you must be 18 after the shit hit the fan but idk.

Sadly they are operating in a niche martketplace that isnt governed by anybody. An their primary sources of revenue (Twitch and YouTube) have shown they dont wish to issue ToS violations and ban their accounts.

I learned nearly twenty years ago how dumb gambling is. Even though i play a ton of CSGO i have never bet, once. On rare occasions i do use CSGOLounge to look for specific trade offers.

On a side note, what Moe did was far more shady.

It baffles me that they still have loads of fanboys defending them and then I remember that they're all 12, which makes the scam even scummier.

It's a scumbag move by them but with kids these days being so retarded and buying and believing everything they see.. I would've done the same :>

It's a shame really, once people hit adulthood, they're immediately granted access to so much fucked up choices that are glittered and sprinkled like a fucking fairytale. Everyone learns the hard way these days. I remember getting ripped off for doing an IT Course, paid upfront, I was 19. I know the owners address, but it's about 300+ miles away, plus this was years ago, so I'm glad I got over it or wouldn't be here, I'd be in prison for kidnapping and torture.

While scummy, they haven't done anything illegal so who cares

Oh, I read a sypnosis of it on reddit so maybe I missed some specifics. What did they do?

I'll type out what Moe did for it was by far the worst.

Moe entered into a sponsorship deal with a betting website. If he streamed a specific amount of hours he was given a percentage of the website total earnings for the month. This betting website operated slightly different than the others. Person traded their CSGO skins to their website and they gave you their own website currency. From their you would bet on a variety of different casino style games against the house or players.

ELeague was about to begin an one of the lead analysts from Europe couldnt attend right away because of visa issues. Host of the analyst desk Richard Lewis suggested to TBS that Moe would be a good fit. He was a former pro player who is also good on camera. Moe did this for roughly a month until Thorins visa issues were resolved. Because of this Moe didnt stream at all basically for that month.

Betting website wished to renegotiate their deal with Moe for he wasnt meeting their hourly streaming criteria; Moe got mad. After some back and forth in private the website payed out 90K to Moe for his past streaming (3 months i believe). Moe some days later still wasnt happy. He wanted the balance of his account on the website also payed out to him (Moe and the betting website agreed that this wasnt his some months prior). Publicly Moe made this demand with the threat that if it wasnt met he would release information about the website.

Website owners had enough, for Moe was trying to blackmail them for more money. So they released all the information regarding their sponsorship with Moe; Instead of giving Moes website account their website currency off-stream to replenish it. The website was giving Moe the odds of winning for his future bets.

It's a bunch of overhyped bullshit.

I'm so tired of people not being able to account for their own actions, yes they advertised skin betting sites, who gives a shit? If it wasn't that they'd just be hawking whatever else they got paid to promote.

People act like they're causing kids to lose thousands of dollars, you can only convert those skins into steam cash. and unless a kid has unlimited access to his parent's credit card (which sounds like a personal problem) I don't see how they'd even lose much money doing this.

It's funny to me YouTube has beer/alcohol ads all the time before its videos but don't you dare advertise CSGO gambling you have to think of the children! Lmao

Fact is they hawked their website to make extra cash, CSGO skin betting is incredibly popular as it is not sure why they're being singled out for something tons of people have promoted.

BTW I don't watch any streamers or even play CSGO, just know about the situation and it seems like a bunch of people wanting to scapegoat a few guys because of the general discontent over CSGO betting as a concept.
