Definitely don't listen to these Youtubers saying "This will 1000X!"

They are PAID to shill coins. You have to become self reliant and DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. Only listen to Youtubers as a supplement. That's essentially like listening to CNBC for stock tips.

CNBC is complete GARBAGE for noobs. They are their for manipulation and pumping shit.
And yes if noobish - just get ETH and BTC. Can't go wrong.

I hear ya man. I learned the hard way on Penny Stocks back in the day. The message boards and shills and pump and dump.....it was/is the wild west. You'll get taken to the cleaners by those people. Luckily I was using money I was OK losing (didn't want to lose it...but still ;) ) and learned valuable life lessons (hit a few winners too but overall lost for sure).

But anyway, I see a lot of these Cryptos as being very similar pump and dump type scams if you aren't careful. Everyone wants easy money.

I'm like 35% portfolio in BTC, 30% in ETH, then some larger stakes in Link, Litecoin, and Algo I think and like 20 other Alt Coins I put $25 on each and see if 1 hits in 10 years ;)

I am getting verified on Binance.us so I can grab some ADA and VET but those are my fliers.

There are only two youtube channels worth watching. One for deep diving, and the other for technical analysis.

Here's an example from the TA guy.

And here's an example from the deep dive guy. He's definitely much more of a memer than Benjamin.

I don't like ADA. I like Polkadot a lot better. One is all hype. The other has all sorts of projects being built on it and is a supplement to Ethereum.

Nice.
I bought in from 300-800.

I have about 15 coins but I'm going to start consolidating soon.
Bought a lot in 2017 then right up to the 2018 crash.

If stellar lumen doesn't start moving soon I'm going to ditch my stash.

My biggest fuck up was buying Ripple at around $2.

Stellar Lumens was started by the same guy who started XRP and it's a carbon copy. It's garbage.

The XRP founders dumped their XRP too. Get rid of them.

I was a holder of xrp for a few months. Never did move much, but used by pump and dumpers from time to time. Sold all of it after seeing how there are better opportunities elsewhere for profits . Never regretted that decision

Blockchain backer is good too, disregarding the xrp shilling, his analysis is top notch

Glad you got out, too many keep holding thinking it will be a mistake, rather than just cut their losses and invest in something that has value and utility. Banks have stated numerous times they don't care about XRP, only rippleNet, and the cripple army can't get it through their skulls.

Ok Gents. I really mean it this time. I need to stop buying more. I don’t have a addictive personality, but there is a reason I don’t go into casinos anymore.

Final portfolio totals so I can see if I’m smart or an idiot next year.

BTC: .0207 purchase price $54,596.80
ETH: .215 purchase price $1829.91
ALGO: 2436.22 avg price .99
VET: 18,366.9 avg price .0477
LINK: 39.1 avg price $26.77

I’m OUT. (God willing) from buying anymore.

I may buy some precious metals but DONE after that.

I did not know that. I'm dumping and putting it into some more Link. Thanks for the info.

Lol you’ll just get hooked on precious metals next. You’ll be the opposite of what I did.

I’m scared

Everything you've got looks about right. You could always diversify with profits OR buy back in on dips from profits you pull out at peaks. And of course if you want you can take profits to metals if you aren't fully secure in the crypto future... because you do know only a handful will exist past 2035. But ultimately you have an acceptable portfolio, all things considered.

I think you need some GRT to complete the holy trinity (LINK, ETH & GRT).

I also said I was done many times.
