Do a lot of you guys day trade with crypto? I’ve never tried that.

I have Ethereum like I’ve said many times but I just hold.

I bought some LiteCoin recently with my brother and I think we’re gonna put $1000 in ALGO.

my bulk investment is in Ethereum
If you've made out on ETH, you could trade $1000 of it on ALGO.

At a minimum, I'd stake what you have in ETH since you plan on holding long term. Earning 7.5 percent apr on top of your gains is tough to pass on.

Very low. Before it was even $100 a share. I bought in over a few different price points so it wasn’t all at the same time.

I think the highest I bought some was when it was around $140 but the bulk of my purchase was made when it was under $100. I did real well off of it. I’m gonna hold long term though.
Nice.
I bought in from 300-800.

I have about 15 coins but I'm going to start consolidating soon.
Bought a lot in 2017 then right up to the 2018 crash.

If stellar lumen doesn't start moving soon I'm going to ditch my stash.

My biggest fuck up was buying Ripple at around $2.

After doing my research after reading what you said. It does appear to have a cult like status right now. I'm starting to wonder if it is the most elaborate scam in modern history lol.

I don't know much about ADA, but recently Charles Hoskinson was in a video talk with Celsius about some kind of potential partnership, and Celsius is upside.

Up to you. It's going to be one of the world's big crypto and blockchain applications that much is clear.

You have a chance in now at less then $0.10 cents, a situation that may not last too long seeing as its gone up a ton the last month.

Let's do a bit of the glorification now for thrills.

Nothing is certain but for me, a missed opportunity is painful. You probably want to be on that train instead of watching it as it shoots off into the horizon.
Well now I want to even more damn bro lol.

All weekend. ETH creeping up.. more than likely because of controlled scarcity looming. Plan on making one last purchase before staking sets in.
How big do I go? If it hits retire and spend my final days on cocaine big or play it a bit safer and go buy a new vehicle big?

Alright I now have 5674 VET

Going through such a rabbit hole with this.

Thinking about putting 2,000 onto BTC to even out the portfolio. That would put my total investment into crypto at 6,750.

Would bring me to:
35% ALGO
30% BTC
17.5% LINK
17.5% VET

I like that mix. Long HODL all around.

I've been binging on BTC vs ALT's debates.

Cool clip. I love LTC and hodl it, but purely as a money utility, I worry about it a little bit compared to the alts that have substantial utility apart from currency transaction. I'm glad the foundation is making a contract layer on it. That said, I'll hodl LTC ongoing, regardless. It's got the magic.

Canada isn't playing around...

A Third Bitcoin ETF in Canada Is Set to Launch
Canadian regulators have approved a third Bitcoin ETF set to launch tomorrow, after more than $500 million invested in competing products.

"A third Bitcoin exchange traded fund (ETF) has been approved by Canadian securities regulators, as CI Global Asset Management prepares their own BTC-based offering.

The CI Galaxy Bitcoin ETF will launch tomorrow, March 9, under the symbol BTCX on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The new ETF will join the Purpose Bitcoin ETF (BTCC) and Evolve Bitcoin ETF (EBIT), both of which launched just last month. The slate of Bitcoin ETF launches in North American markets is another sign of BTC becoming an institution-friendly asset, introducing a whole new class of conservative investors to the world of crypto."

Long Hodl is the way. In fact if you are impulsive or affected by big swings it can be good to not even check the markets too often since it can sway you to trade unnecessarily.

That would be a very solid portfolio.
Bear in mind though if you were to have that breakdown, you are hedging that BTC outruns VET.
Could happen, but as of today the metrics are BTC has 550% growth and VET has 1250% for the past year.

As a real estate investor I thought crypto was too risky years ago. Now it's risky not to invest in it. Smiling while btc and eth creeping up. Besides the main 2. Which is everyone bullish on? Thinking of trying Ada and Ltc. As a long term investor I'm having a hell of a hard time checking my phone 20x times a day. I could never day trade. The volatility would screw with my head

Awesome feedback. And I'm a pretty big noob at this btw so not insulted at all! Clearly you've done a lot of research and know a ton about this stuff. I'm probably falling for all these pump and dumps in search of that golden ticket! heh. Probably better off staying with the more well known ones with BTC and ETH.

Do you have any high risk / high rewards you are looking at? As I said, i'm really new to the game and dollar cost averaging on BTC and ETH (some amounts of a few others).

Definitely don't listen to these Youtubers saying "This will 1000X!"

They are PAID to shill coins. You have to become self reliant and DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. Only listen to Youtubers as a supplement. That's essentially like listening to CNBC for stock tips.

CNBC is complete GARBAGE for noobs. They are their for manipulation and pumping shit.
And yes if noobish - just get ETH and BTC. Can't go wrong.
