Where are you guys getting your:

VET
ADA

I'm tired of waiting for Coinbase to get with the program here. Though I hate to open more accounts all over the place.

I got ADA from Kraken and VET from Binance.

I'm forced to use crypto.com due to particular expat rules. I'm sure there are other options but due to my ravencoin holdings it was one of a highly limited options.

Anyone else own POWR?

Was up 120% today, now about 50%.

Just signed a deal with Tata power.

I think Power Ledger is a great project having looked into it.
Real world solutions are always a stand out for me.
Price is still low at under $0.30 cents for a 1 billion total supply. Has been up to $2 in the past.

But aside from that as in any area you should consider what are you investing in.
This is about a sustainable solar energy solution which is a good use of the blockchain technology to allow p2p trading of energy.

So individuals and organizations could trade sustainable energy easily.

That is simply a great idea and the fact they are having some big industry movement is a good sign.

If we consider one of the dark sides of crypto is with Bitcoin and POW systems although now becoming redundent as newer cryptos use POS, Bitcoin uses the energy consumption of small countries in mining. This is a horrible outcome environmentally.

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/02/05/bit...rries-about-its-massive-carbon-footprint.html

Whats worse it gets more energy inefficient and power consuming over time as is the nature of pow.

Ethereum is already switching to proof of stake with the much lower energy use.

So what's not to like in an investment for a project like this. Obviously it's going to be a thing only in countries where there is the capacity for solar energy but alot of potential there. Am in with it for sure as a smaller holding.

Voyager for both

Thanks guys. I like the looks of Kraken and Voyager and might lean the slightest bit to Kraken.. BUT looks like Voyager has both ADA and VET whereas Kraken does not have VET. I'm most interested in ADA.

ADA and VET are my fliers/lottery tickets. Might lose it all or hit big. I'm pretty much in on the larger Cryptos and need the potential big winner, don't mind a super high risk one in the mix.

The exchanges are all limited as I’ve mentioned earlier.

For instance, I’d love to get some POWR, but coinbase or voyager don’t support it.

Just took the rest of those quizzes on coinbase to get another free $24 in crypto across a bunch of coins. Consolidated it and moved it into XTZ

IMO ADA is shit shilled to noobs heavily. (not saying you're a noob or trying to be insulting in any way.)

I see Cardano marketed heavily on Youtube and everywhere.

But let's look at the reality.

1. It's a smart contract platform that still doesn't have smart contracts after years of promises.

2. 99% of Defi is on Ethereum. While Cardano literally doesn't have any projects on it yet (because no smart contract functionality.)

3. Charles Hoskinson, the founder of ADA, was unanimously kicked out Etherum in 2014 because he wanted to bring in VC money and centralize. Vitalik Buterin wanted it open source and decentralized. Basically, Hoskinson got greedy.

4. Hoskinson then tried to create an ETH competitor, ETH classic, which failed. He also completely ripped off the initial investors of IOHK (parent company of Cardano.) Hoskinson is essentially a greedy scumbag.

Don't get rid of your VET, time to accumulate.
But get more Algo some way.

7500 Algo in the wallet is working out at right on 2 Algos Yield every 36 hours...crazy.
I got rid of all my VET for ADA. Feelsgoodman

Awesome feedback. And I'm a pretty big noob at this btw so not insulted at all! Clearly you've done a lot of research and know a ton about this stuff. I'm probably falling for all these pump and dumps in search of that golden ticket! heh. Probably better off staying with the more well known ones with BTC and ETH.

Do you have any high risk / high rewards you are looking at? As I said, i'm really new to the game and dollar cost averaging on BTC and ETH (some amounts of a few others).

While it may turn out to be true that Ada does not fulfill it promises, currently the speculation and belief in it has driven the prices up insanely fast more than any other crypto by a long way.

Ultimately belief in something will drive up the market price so it is still a very good hedge against other cryptos.
Like its value has gone up a ridiculous 2000% in the past year compared to Bitcoin which has 'only' gone up just under 500%.
So currently if the trend continues which is likely Ada is one of the best holds for the foreseeable future. If it meets it's aims it will be huge.

If it doesn't meet it's promises and projects don't move onto it's platform then the price may eventually suffer. But by that time you can cash out and it would have probably outrun most other coins by a large margin so you will still win if you trade out before any big slump.

I see it as a great hedge at this point with good promise. For example I recently traded out a lot when it hit almost $1.40 and BTC was low, then bought back a signifcantly larger amount of Ada again about a week later when the price had dropped and BTC had recovered some. So for this reason alone it has a lot of value right now even if it fails to meet it's longer term goals.
The high APY if you have a good amount to stake adds to this.
